Reviewed the video of this problem. Followed these instructions using a flat screwdriver to release the broken stop. Then used the same tool to set the piece firmly in place.
We followed the video instructions, at times running to the computer to check the video.. The hardest part was getting the door to slide back on.. Thank heavens for the video.
PULLED BROKEN CLIP OFF AND SQUEEZED NEW ONE IN. I HAD TO USE PLIERS TO SQUEEZE TOGTHER SINCE i AM 77 YEARS OLD AND HANDS ARE NOT THAT STRONG ANY MORE. I HAD ALSO WATCHED THE INTERNET VIDEO TO MAKE SURE I COULD HANDLE THIS CORRECTLY. 10 MINUTES MAX TO UNLOAD TOP RACK AND PUT TOGETHER.
For easier access, removed both trays from dish washer. Pushed both clips apart from upper water arm, let arm hang, removed old spinner, replaced new spinner.
Remove any pieces of the rear stop by prying it off the end with small flat blade screwdriver. Make sure rack is fully on the roller tracks and then carefully push the new plastic end piece onto the rack. Be sure to orient it correctly by checking the end piece of the other rack. I ordered two and replace them both at the same time.
The 1/4" square part that the spinner at the top of the washer wore out and no longer supported the spinner. My dishes were not getting clean
Two philips head screws to get the arm reaching up to the oart removed. Snapped it in and I'm good to go! Clean dishes again! All for a 1/4" part. Just followed the videi on this ste to make the repair.
Installing the rack stop clip was, at first, very difficult, if not impossible.
Stared at it and deduced that the clip was not intended to slide into the track from the end, but that it was intended to snap in from the side. NO WHERE WAS THERE A SINGLE SENTENCE TELLING HOW TO DO THIS. And don't give me the old bromide, "Well, everyone knows how to do this." Nope, It is not in my DNA, so a sentence included with the clip in the package would have saved me time and pain.
cut power to dishwasher. removed screws all around door panel to get front panel off, leaving top two screws for last. unplugged latch set, removed it. set new one in. screwed top 2 screws in. fit door panel back on. pulled out latch hook from stationary top piece and clicked new on in place.
