Broil element died
Followed instructions on Kenmore site. One point of note. Hold onto the element wires firmly. They will retract behind the oven!!! After contacting an electrician friend who removed unit from the wall and rethreaded the wires, it went just fine.

support clips fell out
Parts Select is the only parts place I found on the internet that had what I needed on my first purchase, so when I needed these clips I naturally went back to them. Product was easy to find, price was fine, receipt for payment quick and more importantly receipt of item was super quick. Thanks to the efficiency of this place and my old appliances, I will continue to go to them as needed.

Broiler did not work.
We had to take the back off the stove and disconnect the old element. One side had bad wiring. we had to repair the wires and inserted the new element. The job would not have taken so long if there were any kind of instructions.

broil element blown out
At first I tried to remove the element from the top of the oven. I took out the screws with a nut-driver (1/4"). Them I tried to pull the element out slowly so I could unplug it from the power wires. One of the wires pulled off bfore I could get it out. I then pulled the range out from the wall and removed the back from it. THEN I noticed that if you pull the stove away from the wall first and take off the back the wires are right there and easy to take on and off. Then replace the the back panel, plug in the stove and test the element. It will give off a slight odor as the manufacturing coating is burned off.

Live in an apartment and they had generic drip pans on the stove causing pots to tilt when cooking.
Replaced drip pans that the apartment Superintendent had in place with the correct drip pans and now cooking is beautiful again! No more uneven cooking on the stove top.

Burned Out Broil Element
The repair went ok. I did have to take the back off the stove in order to get to the wire connectors. Needed an extra person to move the stove out of it's location. Just had to be careful.

Burner was unreliable...would stop working...I had already replaced the burner
I did as the video suggested.....I cut the old wires and spliced new ones already attached to the new terminal block. It would have been nice to have some instructions with the parts as I expected one piece but had to connect the wires to the new block and the new metal cover. I was guessing a bit. Also, I needed to use the holder strip off my old part so that it displaced the new part back far enough to insert the burner connections. That meant finding a screw and nut small enough to allow the metal cover to fit on the block. But the burner works great. I've learned that any repair requires some ingenuity.

the wires were not long enough to use the original path.
the original path was from the right front control knob around the back of the range and left side of range, which i dismantaled to install the new wires to the right front burner. When I found them to be to short I had to also dismantal the right side so the wires could be routed there. The new wires worked fine but did take some extra time.
