Easy Repair - Great Part
Replacement OEM motor worked PERFECTLY as the original when it was new. Repair was relatively easy as well as simple and did not take very much time. Customer Service at PartSelect was very helpful, responsive and understanding all of the time. It has been a wonderful experience, so if I can do it, anybody else too!!!

Noisy motor - Need more specific instructions for installing the new motor on the base for LTG6234DQ1 Whirpool dryer
Motor is kind of noisy making a humming sound ,which at this point I do not know if it is normal. Please advice. As motor is not exactly the same like original it is important to highlight instructions about how to place iron the base and rotate it accordingly unless it does not matter how you place it as far as the black plastic connector switch remains on the same side like it was with the original motor. I need clearer instructions on this regard as your generic videos about replacing the motor show a dryer that does look the same way my original motor was placed.

Thank you for the quick response. I need to know if the motor that is completely isolated from the machine, should that turn smoothly if i spin the shaft manually?
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. Yes, if you turn the shaft manually, it should turn smoothly. In the motor there is a copper bushing that should have lubrication that should allow it to turn smoothly. If it is not turning smoothly, there is no more lubrication. This can happen if the lint filter and vent is not cleaned regularly as it can dry up the lubricant. You can try to clean it out and add lubrication, but if this does not help, the motor will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

How do i know if i need to replace this part (motor) from my dryer (Whirlpool model ltg6234dq0 with motor model s58nxmlf 6700 /motor part 3395655)? It seems to me this part is broken. I already disassembled and remove the drum and i tried to turn the motor by hand and its not turning freely. My dryer problem is after i pushed the start button it will turn slowly and will stop and make humming sound.
For model number LTG6234DQ0
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer will not tumble, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the motor the belt, the idler pulley and the door switch. To test the motor and the door switch to see which one may be causing the issue, you will need to use a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer model YWET4027HW0. Squealing sound from the dryer motor is coming from the rear bearing. Is the bearing a replaceable part or must I replace the entire motor?
If not a factory part perhaps a diy from a bearing house?
For model number YWET4027HW0
Hello Ward, thank you for your inquiry. We only sell OEM parts directly sourced from the manufacturer. Based on the description that you have provided, you may need to replace the dryer drive motor, part number PS334297, to fix the issue. The bearings come as a part of the drive motor. We hope this information helps!

WHEN I PUSH THE START BUTTON THE DRYER COMES ON BUT WON'T STAY RUNNING . IS THIS THE MOTOR OR A SWITCH OR SOMETHING ELSE ?
For model number LTE6234DQ2
Hello Dominic, Thank you for the question. This is an indication the Switch on the motor is defective. The Switch is only sold as part of the Motor. The Drive Motor with Switch will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The dryer is making a loud squeaking sound and seems to be coming from the motor. I have seen comments to try lubricating it first how and where do I lubricate this motor? Can I accomplish this without removing the motor?
For model number MET3800XW0
Hi Roger, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the squeaking sound most probably comes from the idler pulley, part number PS334244. For lubricating the motor, you just apply the grease to the motor shaft with the help of a cloth without removing it. We hope this sorts out your problem!
