LED read-out went bad
There's an easy access panel on the back of the stove. I removed it and then it was a simple process to follow what was there to replace the switches. The only thing that caught me off guard was that you have to replace the switches in pairs which is what I noticed when I ordered the part.

My front right burner comes on without turning the knob, how can i troubleshoot this to determine if this is the part i need.

Hello Abram, thank you for your question. If the burner comes on without turning the knob the issue would be the potentiometer and display board kit. Unfortunately, we don't have any testing information, but this is what controls the burner, and if its coming on without turning the knob, this would be the part to replace. I hope this helps.

Right rear, right front potentiometer display board issue? Right rear element goes to hi when the knob is turned to off. I had to disconnect the multi pin connector in order to use the stove. The boards are paired. How do I test the board for continuity since the heat coils seem to light up? Is the uib suspect here? The part number is AP4501675. If I purchase the boards, install them and they do not fix the problem, what's the return policy? Model number PLEFZ398ECD and serial number VF63348985.

Thank you for your question. There is no way to test the control board with a multimeter. You will need to inspect the board for wear, damage, or cracking. You should also inspect it for any signs of burning or shorted terminals. If your control board shows any of the symptoms described above, you may need a replacement electronic control board. Dual right front burner, only works on high on small element, when large element is turned on the entire burner should heat however only the outer ring heats. Is it part 96a or the board

Hello Tim, thank you for contacting us. You will need the replace the element, the inner part of it has burnt out. The part number for that is PS1528431
Similar to an earlier question, my dual right front burner, only works on high, the small inner element does not heat up. I ordered a new element, which worked for a couple of weeks, but it only turns on occasionally, lately not at all. Is it possible i received a bad burner, with the same problem or should i try part 96a? Or could it be something else?

Thank you for your inquiry. It could be that your part is defective. I would suggest testing your switch just to check if that part is the problem or not. Left rear element when turned off, the display panel indicates "4" (temp) instead of "he"; unlike the other elements (fr, fr, & lf) indicate "he".

Hello Dan, Thank you for your inquiry. I would advise checking the element itself, the element switch for that burner or the wiring between the two. You can test these with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

The left rear burner will turn on by itself. I know that it does this when the oven is on at if the left front burner is on. I don’t know if it does it when all else is off.

Hello Ronal, thank you for your question. It sounds like it is a User Interface Board part number 316445603 issue. I would also check the wiring from the elements to the switches to make sure there are no broken or burnt wiring. I hope this helps!
