Replace ice chute assembly on GE Profile frig.
I was not able to repair or find any info on line on how to remove control panel. Hired a local appliance tech for $117 and after much trouble he was able to release two tabs on right side of control panel with small screwdriver for low tab and long rod on upper tab. ... Read morete is much different than new models. The whole assembly is replaced not just the flapper and solenoid. Be careful to not break control panel while removing. I very stupid design as far as easy service. Also screw on underside is removed first. GE could have made repair easier with good engineering.
