This part is the replacement tub gasket for your dishwasher. It is black in color and is made of rubber. The tub gasket fits around the circumference of your dishwasher tub, and creates a seal that prevents leaks. If your dishwasher is leaking from the tub, there is a good chance that the tub gasket is the issue. The gasket can stretch and become worn over time, and this can affect the seal. To replace the tub gasket, you can use a screwdriver to pry the gasket out of its groove, then carefully pull it away from the tube. Carefully fit the new gasket into place and your repair is complete. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part from the manufacturer.

Hi. I need to get a replacement gasket for the one that is at the very bottom of the inside of the dishwasher door. It’s horizontal and spans only the width of the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher door. It seals the bottom of the door when it’s closed. Can you help me find the right replacement part number? (ps. This is not the gasket the goes around 3/4 of the tub. I see that part in your diagrams but not this part I'm looking for.) thank you.
For model number GLDT690T00BB
Ho Jeff, Thank you for the question. The bottom door gasket is only sold as part of the inner door panel, PartSelect Number PS3486954. In order to replace the gasket you will need to order and replace the inner door panel. Hope this helps!
How is the gasket installed? Is there glue, tape etc.?
For model number GLDA696P02SS
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for the great question! No Glue needed, you just need to pull the old one out and push the new one into place. There is a channel the gasket will fit into.
Good luck with the repair!

Is there a piece that attaches ( inserts into) to the two ends of the tub basket ? If so, please let me the part name and number. Thanks.
For model number GLDA690PO2WW
Hi Vinnie,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the tub gasket. The dishwasher in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS5136129. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The bottom door gasket - ( part of the inner door panel, partselect number ps3486954.)
Keeps coming lose, i have tried to stick it back, but it doesnt seem to latch onto anything. The gasket is not damaged - is there a specific way to put it back? Do i need to unscrew the inner door panel to do so?
For model number GLDT696J00SS
Hello Vinita, Thank you for the question. We suggest taking the door panel apart in order to place the gasket properly. If it does not stay in after this, you may need to replace the panel with the gasket attached. Hope this helps!

Does this door seal contain the piece for the bottom of the door as well as around the tub
For model number GCD4800L00SS
Hello Lee, Thank you for your inquiry. This tub gasket is only for the top three sides of the tub, the bottom door gasket was originally sold separately, but it is now only available as part of part# PS1481973, the inner door. We hope this helps.
Will this part fix the issue with my dishwasher leaking? Our in-house machinic said, "it does look like that bottom door seal is coming loose causing the water to drip out the bottom of the door. I tried to reinstall the seal but it started popping out again."
For model number GLDT696J00SS
Hi Julie, thank you for your inquiry. We have concluded that the issue is with the tub gasket, part number PS1481856, as it is most likely worn out and may need to be replaced. To replace the tub gasket, you can use a screwdriver to pry the gasket out of its groove, then carefully pull away from it. You can then install the new gasket into the groove, starting from the center and then going left and right, making sure it fits properly. We hope this helps!
