We have just installed a new water inlet valve and water is still running into the machine non stop even when power is off any advise on that, thanks
For model number WFW87HEDW1
Hi Joel,
Thank you for your question. If there is water still running into the washer when it is off after installing a new water inlet valve, there could either be an issue with the new valve or there is an issue with the water level switch. The Water Inlet Valve on your washing machine is used to fill the tub with cold, warm or hot water for the wash and rinse cycles. The valve is operated by electric solenoids that are controlled by the timer or electronic control board and the water level control/water level selector switch or pressure switch. If your washer continues to fill during a cycle, the water inlet valve could be at fault. To verify that the valve is at fault, unplug the washer when the symptom occurs. If the washer continues to fill, then the water inlet valve is defective. If the washer stops filling, then the problem is related to the electrical circuit that controls the valve. The water level switch is a pressure activated switch that is used to determine the correct water level in the tub. As the water fills in the tub it will compress the air in the tube and push against a diaphragm inside the switch. The switch will control the water inlet valve and turn the valve off at the correct water level. If the tube has a leak or is plugged, not enough pressure may be created to activate the switch and the washer may overfill. If the switch is defective it may also cause the machine to overfill. To determine if the switch is bad, you should first eliminate the air dome hose as a problem. Look for signs of cracks or worn areas on the hose. Remove the hose and submerge in water. Seal one end and blow air into the other end and look for bubbles. Check for an obstruction in the hose as well. If the air dome hose appears to be ok, then the water level pressure switch may be defective. Inspect the switch for signs of a mechanical defect or debris plugging the hole in the inlet nipple. To test the switch contacts for continuity with a multi-meter, you will need to apply the proper amount of air pressure to the air dome tube and then look for the switch to go open circuit at that level. The easiest way to do this is to start the washer and allow it to fill to the normal level and then remove the power cord. Locate the pressure switch and remove the wires from the correct terminals and then perform the continuity test. There should be infinite resistance or an “open circuit” when the water level is correct. If not, then the switch is defective. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The threads for the inlet valve broke off, can't hookup fill hose
For model number WFW95HEDU0
Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for your question. If one of the threading off the valve were broken off, you would need to replace the entire inlet valve under part PS11754698 for your model. Hope this helps!

Hello...i just ordered and installed this part. you guys felt like me on the fact this was the answer to my problem. i still have a great water supply to the washer, however still no water is entering the machine. also once the machine locks you have to wait an extremely long time for it to unlock and turn off. i am not sure what to do at this point.
For model number WFW94HEAW0
Hi Holly,
Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like there may be connection issue between the electronic control board and the water inlet valve. I would check the control board with a multimeter to see if you are having any issues with it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

After the fabric softner dispenser empties as it should, and the wash cycle is completely finished, we find the fabric softner tray full of clean water. The soap dispensor side of the tray is empty of any liquid as it should be. I have just replaced the entire dispenser tray, as well as the dispensor tray housing. Does my problem have anything to do with a defective solenoid valve possibly?
For model number WFW8740DCO
Hello Raleigh, thank you for your question. When it is time for the softener to be released, cold water runs into the small compartment. This flushes the softener over the top and down the dispenser into the drum. When the washer is finished the compartment is left momentarily full of water. This unwanted water should automatically siphon up the inside of the tube and into the drum. It can be normal to have up to 2 tbsp. of water left over. If your finding more than 2 tbsp. it could be blocked by the fabric softener itself. Remove the dispenser drawer and take off the cap. Locate the syphon tube. Clean it as best as you can with warm water. Replace the drawer and fill it with water, then start a warm or hot cycle. The tube should be clear by the end of the cycle. It could also be that your machine is not level. Check to see if it is level and adjust the feet if not. We hope this helps!

I get an f08 e01 error code. I have check water pressure and made sure screens are clear of obstructions. Will the inlet water valve solve my problem
For model number MHW7000AW0
Hi Troy, thank you for reaching out. The F08 E01 error indicates that there may be a problem with the water supply to the washer. We suggest checking the inlet hoses to make sure they are not kinked or blocked. If they are good, then the issue seems to be with the water level switch, part number PS11754877. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. If that does not help, replacing the water inlet valve, part number PS11754698, will fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
