My Maytag clothes washer will turn on, but whenever I start a cycle the door would lock, and it would not do anything else. Can you give me an idea of what can be wrong with it?
Hello Brian,
Thanks for your question. This could be due to a faulty lid lock, door strike, or door switch; however, we will need your model number to recommend a part number. The electronic control board is not likely to be the cause of this issue.
I hope this helps.

My power button has fallen out. I can power up the washer using a screwdriver through the hole if I tap it just right. On you schematic, the power button doesn't seem to be labelled. What part do I need?
For model number MHWE400WW01
Hi Leanne, Thank you for writing. The Power Button was only sold as part of the Console. We are sorry, we looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers and contact us back with the updated substitution number. We hope this helps!
