How do I access the timer on the Whirlpool model wtw5700sw0 washer to replace.Thank you

For model number wtw5700sw0

Hello Bill, Thank you for the question. You will need to use a putty knife to release the clips under the end caps on the control panel. There should also be a screw on the back of the panel to hold it in place. Once removed, the panel will lift up and tilt back to expose the timer switch. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

When I pull out knob on panel (timer)? to start machine nothing happens. I have to push back in and move to another wash setting multiple times to finally get water to start filling and machine to start. Do I need to replace timer? Or is there something else I am missing?
