How do i test motor start capacitor?Motor will not do anything... hum, attempt to start.
machine fills, but won't agitate, drain or spin.
lid switch tests good.
For model number 110.92593210
Hello Carl, thank you for writing. You can test it with a multi-meter. If the needle on the multi-meter does not move then the Capacitor is faulty and should be replaced. From what you describe, you may want to consider the Direct Drive Motor Coupling part PS1485646 or the Clutch Assembly part PS334641. We hope this helps.

Is this part also known as the "lid switch"? My washer filled, but will not run through the cycle. I had the lid switch replaced ten months ago and the symptoms are pretty much the same. I think the part may have gone bad again. Thanks!
For model number LSQ9110PW4
Hi Donna,
Thank you for your question. This part is not the lid switch. The part number listed under your model number for the lid switch is PS11745957. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

KitchenAid Motor 3350418. I took the capacitor off without marking the location so I don't know where to put the wires back on the new one. Please help. Red wire & dbl white/white w/orange stripe
For model number KAWS677EQ0
Hi Joan, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the wire orientation does not matter in the case of the capacitor. They can go either way. We hope this helps!

Hi washer fills to correct level then nothing happens push pull on all water features of timer works but none of other features of timer? I am thinking either timer or start capacitor? Thanks lid switch already bypassed all mechanical issues hav2 been changed thanks
For model number GSQ9669LW1
Hi Colin, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, the issue is most probably with the timer, part number PS11742106. It controls most of the operations of the washer, such as water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
