spindle assembly, left side, how does it come apart
For model number 40715x99A
Hi Denny, thank you for reaching out. You may follow the general instructions given below to remove the spindle assembly:
1- Use the socket to loosen and unthread the spindle pulley mounting nut.
2- With the nut removed, pull back the brake pad and lift off the spindle pulley.
3- Next, carefully flip the mower deck over.
4- Secure the blade and use a socket to loosen and unthread the blade mounting bolt.
5- With the bolt removed, set the blade aside and flip the deck back over.
6- Use a socket to unthread the mounting bolts securing the spindle assembly to the deck.
7- Remove the old assembly.
8- You are now ready to install the new spindle assembly.
