Ice cubes are not ejecting from mold causing motor to bind up. How would i know whether it's the defrost thermostat?
For model number MSF21D4MDH01

Hello Scott, thank you for inquiring. For this you may want to consider replacing the Icemaker Motor Kit part number PS733947 for your model. Is there an ice build up on the mold preventing the ice from being ejected? We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi! Ice/frost buildup started forming on the inside bottom/back of refrigerator of our side by side KitchenAid. Any advice for what to check? Thank you!
For model number KSC24C8EYY01

Hello Jenny, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Drain Line to make sure it is not clogged and draining the defrost water properly during the defrost cycle to the Evaporator Pan below the appliance. If it is blocked, the water can not drain and you get the ice and frost build up. You can use a Turkey Baster with hot soapy water to force it through the tube and use a pipe cleaner to remove any clogs. We hope this helps!

Ice maker started spraying water all over last night. Any idea what part failure could of caused this and what part i need to order? Thank you

Hi Darin, Thank you for your question. I would suggest checking your icemaker to make sure that there is no ice currently in the mold. If there is no ice sitting there, only two parts could cause this issue. Your water inlet valve or your ice maker itself. Either the ice solenoid on your water inlet valve is sending water up to the ice maker too early and too much, or your ice maker is calling for water too much. You will likely have to test the parts to double check. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The icemaker quit making ice. I discovered that one electrode on the thermostat had corroded and disconnected (broken). Could this explain the quitting? Will replacing the thermostat solve the problem?
For model number WRS325FDAM04

Hi Wes, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue could be most probably with the ice maker thermostat, part number PS11740424. It monitors the temperature in the freezer to determine when to release the ice into the bin and start a new ice-making cycle. We would suggest replacing it to solve the problem. We hope this helps!

I replaced the start replay, capacitor, and bi metal thermometer. I plug it in and it starts up n works fine for about a day then starts to warm up with ice melting in freezer. Only thing left is the thermostat that I can think of. Any ideas? Part numbers? Thanks

Hello Brian, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched your model and also recommend checking the thermistor or temperature sensor, and the evaporator fan motor. You can test all of the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good Luck with your repair.
