Lost all clock and timer display
Removed the 4 phillip head screws that hold the trim plate on the bottom of the display panel (and you probably could skip this step).
Next, I removed the knobs from the front of the display panel.
Then I removed the 4 phillip head screws that were located (1 each) behind the knobs.
Finally, I removed the 4 hex head screws from the bottom of the front panel.
You caan then remove the panel a few inches and remove the two cable connectors.
The trick part is to get the flat ribbin cable disconnected. If you squeeze the two small tabs (one on each end of the connector), the connector moves up and spreads open to CAREFULLY remove the ribbon cable.
The clock assembly has just two hex head screws holding it in place. Remove them, and reassemble everything in reverse.
If you did everything correctly, you should have a very bright stove clock again!

Remove part from box and inspect. Place new part on bubble wrap. Notice only the ribbon cable and key pad come with new part.

Leave room to work.

Turn off circuit breaker and verify power is OFF.

Remove knobs and loosen the two screws for each switch.

Open oven door and place a rack at the highest level. Place a thick phone book on the rack and place a thick folded towel on top of it. This is to act as a protected table when removing and installing the new part.

Remove philips head screws from end covers and from angle bracket and stove. Leave screw nuts and angle bracket attached to old part for now.

Remove old part from stove by lifting up slightly then place on protected rack.

Slide lamp housing from red plastic lens and remove and store the red plastic lens for reuse.

Remove ribbon cable from circuit board. Remove fasheners from circuit board. Remove switches.

Remove old part and remove mounting bracket.

Re-install mounting bracket on new part and reinstall components in reverse order.

Verify that all connections are intact before mounting assembly to stove.

The LED clock assembly went dark!
Turn off the power! Removed 4 phillip headed screws from beneath panel, (not the smaller phillip head screws at the each end). Gently tilted out the control panel, disconnected the wire harnesses, removed hex screws attaching clock assy to switch membrane. Cleaned a few items before re-assembly. put everything back together... You'll be surprised how bright the new assembly is...the old one gradually dimmed to the point it couldn't be read. Oven was running 100 degrees over the setting
Removed the four screws holding the upper air baffle and removed the baffle. The panel containing the controller was now free. Noted the location of the external connectors and removed each, starting with the power connector. Removed the two ribbon cables by raising the tabs on the edge of the connector. Freed the control unit by spreading the four plastic retainer clips. Checked to make sure that the new unit matched the original. Reinstalled the new controller and re-connected all of the cables, starting with the ribbon cables. Installed the controller housing and finished by re-installing the baffle.
Tested the oven -- it now stabilized at the desired temperature.
Appreciated the affirmation received from the PartSelect service tech I spoke with who confirmed that the part I had selected was appropriate for the Jenn-Air unit.

Many misc. electrical issues
After removing the protective panel from the back, I used one of those screw holes to hold the new mother board right next to the existing one. I unplugged one connection & and plugged in to the new board. A couple of the wires didn't reach, but I committed those to memory. It looks a lot more intimadating than it is. It looks like a bunch of spaghetti, but its easier than it looks and it saved me at least $750 Read more...

Stove would "beep" frequently showing a "F7" code.
First disconnected electrical power to range.

Opened the oven door enabling access to bottom of touch pad (membrane panel) front. Removed 4 hex-head screws under membrane panel to free panel from range. Removed 4 surface control knobs then removed 4 surface burner infinite control switches with 4 star-point screw driver (8 screws; 2 per switch). Removed 2 hex-head screws holding clock control. Removed bottom edge strip from under the membrane panel (4 Phillips-head screw driver). Removed both left/right end caps from the membrane panel. Reattached all components in reverse order onto new membrane assembly. Reinstalled new membrane assembly to range.

Reconnected electrical power to range. Tested all components and range is working like new! Other than having an available person to assist in holding panel while reassembling this is pretty much a one-person job. Very common sense steps and relatively easy - even for this woman! Have been inspired to repair timer on dryer.

Actual repair took about 1 hour because I cleaned areas along the way that are normally non-accessible on a daily basis.

Oven would not heat - no function from touchpad panel.
First I shut off the power to the stove at the house breaker panel. Next I removed the knobs for the burner controls and removed the two screws holding in each burner switch. Then I removed the two screws on the side of the panel and the four screws on the bottom of the panel. Then the panel could be pulled out to access the clock assembly. Setting the burner switches out of the way, I removed the four screws holding in the clock, unplugged the ribbon cable for the touchpad and removed the clock assembly. Next step was to remove the indicator lights for the burners, The light holders just slide off of the red lenses the stick thru the control panel. The lenses then push out of the panel. At this point the old panel is disconnected and you are ready to install the new panel in reverse order. The process was so easy, my nine year old grandson was able to help me. Read more...

Timer Controller (Clock & controls) not working/lighting up
Simple. Just take off Ceran cook top, I used my iPhone to take a picture of the electronic relay board I was replacing just in case I need a reference picture. With circuit breaker turned off, I removed one connection at a time from the old board and plugged into new board (a total of 7 connections), popped the old board out, popped the new board in, no screw driver needed for this part--just for replacing the ground wire on the Ceran cook top. Reassembled top and flipped the breaker. Works like new!! Read more...
