Does this engine have only 1 cap valve & would an engine surge if it is missing this part?

Hello Dee, thank you for writing. There is only one shown in the schematics for your model. For the symptom you describe you will want to consider either the Fuel Pump part PS9154486 or the Fuel Solenoid part PS9076225. We hope this helps.
