MFI2067AES Maytag Refrigerator - Instructions

Replaced the relay and capacitor it runs.

Popped off the control panel at the top behind the door. Found the thermistor and replaced it, cutting the wires and splicing the new one in. Immediately the warm section of the refrigerator was getting below freezing temperature readings, so the cooling vent was not opening. I put the old one back on and the temperature readings went back to being accurate. So this was not the problem. I believe now that the fan somehow is not blowing enough cold air up. So now I'll probably buy a fan motor and maybe a blade and try that. Otherwise the computer module I priced at $500 so I hope it isn't that. I replace the fan motor a few years ago already.

Open the existing cover and carefully with the thumb and index fingers, pry the cover at over the left pin and remove the cover. Place the replacement onto the right pin and pry the left placing it over the left and you are done.

Unplug ref then remove lower(freezer) panel plus trays and thermistor’s cover/holder then remove the evaps cover. I found the evaps all frozen up. Cut and remove old thermistor, strip wires 1/2 inch then cut the new thermistor wires to length and strip 1/2 inch, use the enclosed insulated crimp type connector and put back everything in the reverse order. It works great afterwards.

No product was sent in the box for the shaft I received an empty box from them cannot perform any repairs because I got no product from this company. Called customer service said due to Covid no customer service available when online and receive no customer service no refund no product no help

After doing a Google search for the issue and landing on the PartSelect website, I reviewed the explanations and directions listed. When I received the part I moved the fridge from the wall, disconnected the power, used the nut driver to remove the cover plate, removed the plastic protection shield and then unplugged each wire connector. Removing the HV board gave me the most trouble since I did not want to break the retaining clips. After a few tries I figured out how to push and pull at the same time to get the board out. Reinstallation was a breeze and the wire connectors went back easily. When power was restored, no more flashing and opening/closing. Re-programming the unit was easy by following the enclosed instructions. So much easier than hassling with a repair person and paying a lot more money to perform a simple repair.

Extremely simple to replace the entire cover. Just had to press on the sides to remove the cover from the hinge pins, then reinstall.

After we had a service repair man diagnose the problem I pulled the refrigerator out locater a 8"x8" galvaized panel on the back of the refrigerator and removed 4 screws and plastic cover, then unplugged 4 cable harnasses from the UV board and snap it out. Applied reverse order to install new board (make sure you unplug the refrigerator prior to starting. Read the programming instructions and had the unit working in less than 15 min.

It was very easy. I removed the two crisper drawers and the glass shelf above the pantry section. I removed two bolts with a nut driver and one screw from the slide track. I pulled out the broken piece and did that all in reverse. Took 5 mins tops.

Also I wanted to say I got my replacement part in two days with standard shipping.

I removed the drawers above and the glass shelf, then removedthe screws to remove the broken end cap then reversed the proceedure to install the new part. Was simple to do and it works fine.

I removed the Deli Drawersvegatable and fruit drawers. Removed the glass panel. Removed the screws holding the Endcap and snapped the old one out. A back panel strip that controls the humidity snapped out. I installed the back panel to the new endcap. Installed the new endcap snapping it in place and used the screws to keep it in place.
It was not difficult and everything fit perfectly. The only thing it takes is a little understanding as to how it all fits together. It took about 20 minutes.

Two phillips head screws out to remove drawer slide. Three screws to remove right side drawer support. New support placed, new lid snapped into place. The right side has an adjustment lever. Re-routing that took the longest. The arm had to be removed and twisted to get the adjustment knob off and on.

The broken one just popped out and the new one popped right in! This company shipped out the part I needed immediately I had it in two days!! I highly recommend them!!

I tried an on-line repair clinic for advice but what I got took a week and was not applicable. I found some discussion about this unique problem elsewhere which pointed to the HV board. (There are two circuit boards on this model.)

Following instructions with the board, I unplugged the ref., removed the metal plate at the rear of the ref that covers the board, and removed the plastic cover. Then I removed the connectors from the board and removed the board. The board is held in place with plastic lugs which require considerable force to bend out of the way. I was afraid of breaking them but once two are free, the board easily comes out.

The new board easily snapped into place and re-installing the connectors was no problem since they can't be mixed up.

Before putting the covers back on, I plugged the unit in and followed the instructions with the board to set the code for the specific ref. This was easily done with the buttons on the front display.

Once I was satisfied with the operation of the unit, I re-installed the two covers.

It was an easy repair but disappointing that I had to spend $175 on a 3-year-old Maytag, to say nothing of my labor and the inconvenience of being without a refrigerator for some time.
