power cord gets hot. just bought this dryer

Hi James, thank you for the question. It could be due to a few reasons. One of the reasons could be due to a faulty electrical connection between the cord and outlet. This can cause the cord to overheat and the dryer may not work correctly. Another reason could be due to a frayed or exposed wire from the power cord which can produce a burnt rubber smell when the dryer is on. When electricity is transmitted through a cord with a faulty wire, it can melt the rubber protective clothing that surrounds it. We recommend checking the power cord, part number PS890526. I need an extra long power cord for this dryer. Do you carry it?

Hi Vincent, thank you for your question. The longest cord available underneath that model number is this cord you have questioned underneath. It is 6ft in length and a 30 Amp 4 wire with closed eyelets and strain relief. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
