Is there a way to test part 105-2635 Clutch Brake assembly?
For model number 30099
Hi Dave, thank you for the question. The quick check to see if you are getting power to the PTO clutch is to do this. Set on the tractor. Turn the key to the ON position. Turn the PTO on and listen for a clunk noise. You do not want the engine running, you just want the key turned to the ON position. If you hear that noise, then the PTO switch is working. You can also check the PTO clutch using a multimeter. Set multimeter to ohms. Disconnect electrical connector on the PTO clutch. Connect meter lead to clutch connector terminal 1. Connect other meter lead to clutch connector terminal 2. If resistance is within 2-4 ohms, the PTO clutch coil resistance is good. Glad to be of assistance!
