Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This washer drive belt connects the motor to the drive system, enabling the drum to spin during wash and spin cycles. Designed with a 7-ribbed, 6-grooved structure, it ensures efficient power transfer and smooth operation. Manufactured to original equipment standards, it fits select top-load washer models and helps maintain reliable performance. A worn or broken belt may cause the drum to stop spinning, produce unusual noises, or emit a burning smell. Installation involves accessing the motor and drum pulleys and should be done with the appliance unplugged. Work gloves are recommended for safety, and professional installation is advised for complex repairs.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

When the washing machine did the final high speed spin the machine made more noise than usual and when I opened the washer door, lots of smoke came out. What parts do I need and can I fix it. I'm pretty mechanically inclined. Thanks glenn
For model number GFWH2400L0WW
Hi Glenn, you may need to replace the motor. If you hear squealing it could also be a bad/faulty driver belt. If you gave us more info, sounds you hear, where exactly the smoke is coming from we may be able to narrow it down more. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
My washer washes but i won't wring or spin to go to the rinse cycle
For model number GFW450SSM1WW
Hi John, thank you for your inquiry. Your washing machine needs sufficient water pressure to remove the detergent from the drawer. Check the water pressure either by looking at the pressure gauge attached to the waterline, or by attaching pressure gauge to the valve behind your washing machine. Check the water inlet valve screens and hoses for blockages. Also, make sure the pump filter, drain hose are not clogged and drain hose is not kinked. The pump filter should be cleaned every three months or when it is clogged. This filter is installed to catch foreign items like buttons or coins and to prevent these items from entering the drain hose. It is located at the bottom right-hand corner of your machine. If all checks are fine, the most probable cause is a fault drain pump, part number PS16743374. Good luck with the repair!
When the washer goes to the spin cycle it is now off balance. This is happening on all load types.
What do I check for????
For model number GFWN1600J1WW
Hello Ron, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the issue is with the shock absorber, part number PS11701130. We would recommend checking the shock absorbers and replace the faulty one. We hope this information helps!
