I am having a problem where the washer starts, but then just sits. Sometimes it runs through the cycles, other time is doesn't. I did a diag on it and see E59. I did test 9 and the tub and motor turn fine. The resistance on the winding is at the very low end. Should be 4-6 and the were all ~4.5. The tach ohm was only 95 ohms and should be 105-130. I cleared the error and ran 2 loads with no issue. I take it that my motor is on it's last leg? Is 95 a clear sign that the tach is going bad?

Hello Todd, Thank you for the question. The E59 error code indicates “no tacho signal for at least 3 seconds.” This means that the motor is not signaling to the washer normally and may be caused by failures within the motor, basket or the control board. If the Motor and Basket are good, this would indicate a faulty Control Board not proceeding through the cycles properly. We hope this helps!
