Hello Ronald, Thank you for your inquiry. The water and drain tubes could be frozen or clogged and causing the water to build up and freeze. Check the drip pan to see if it is full of water and clean the drain tube and main tube that runs from the drain tube to the drip pan and flush. The other issue could be the water inlet valve is continuing to send water to the ice maker even though it is turned off. You can test the valve with a multimeter.
