Product Description
Drawer Roller Specifications
This bearing roller may also be known as the wheel assembly or the container roller bearing, and it is a piece for your trash bin. The function of this bearing is to work in conjunction with your trash bin to allow the canister to roll free. For this repair you will need a nut driver, a pair of pliers, a screwdriver set, and an adjustable wrench. The most obvious symptom that will require you to replace this part is if your drawer is hard to open and/or close. Your appliance comes with two bearing rollers and it is sold individually.

When I open the drawer completely on my Kitchenaid trash compactor,
Something scratches the floor. I have examined the rubber drag on the drawer and find no sharp objects embedded.
Suggestions?
For model number KUCC151JBSO

Hi Ray,
Thank you for your question. The issue may be with the toe guard. From the Whirlpool website, "If the toe guard is rubbing on the floor covering, the toe guard clearance may be changed as follows:
Mark on each side of the toe guard the amount of toe guard that rubs the floor covering.
Remove the drawer from the compactor. Refer to "Cleaning Inside the Cabinet" in your Owner's Manual.
Use a ruler and a pencil or chalk to draw a line between the marks on each side of the toe guard.
Use scissors or a utility knife to cut the toe guard along the line.
Replace the drawer. if the toe guard still rubs the floor covering, repeat steps 1-4." We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Install NewDrive Gear Kit,( I also added,2 poor nuts and all 4 wheels)
My compactor is quite heavy, I moved it onto the kitchen floor unplugged and removed the cover plate from the bottom exposing the drive gears. The small (pinion ) gear was stripped as well as a section of the drive gear. I followed the video and removed the (fulthy) ram. The interior filth was so great I removed all parts to my garage and spent a lot of time cleaning them especially the ram.By the time my parts arrived, it was all clean and ready to go. I had also found that one of the power nuts was broken and had ordered new wheels and power nuts. Assembly was straight forward and it works like new now,

Good fit, relatively easy installation
This part was a direct replacement for the part it replaced. The only issue is that the price was very high for what it was.
