The pnatry end cap broke within the first year of owning the refrigerator...because of that the lower veggie bin door has not connected to the side for the past 2-3 years! A visiting friend said the same thing had happened to their refrig and that she ordered a part on line and repaired it herself.
The repair was very straight-forward with using a socket set to remove the side panel and replace it. This also gave be a chance to give the refrig a good cleaning:) I was a bit worried about "popping" the cover in place, but it went in smoothly. I have decided that one of the causes of the breakage was lifting the cover manually and not allowing it to open automatically as the veggie drawer was opened. Hopefully, this will prevent future issues. I'm SO glad I found your site and will definitely use it again and refer friends!

Broken rail
I replaced the broken part. There was one bolt to loosen with a nut driver. I disconnected the original wiring harness, reattached the new harness and reinstalled the hinges, which simply slide into place. Then I reinstalled the small bolt I had removed with the nut driver. The job was with no problems.

stopped chilling
I did a Google Search for a 1998 Whirlpool ED22RF, looked for trouble Isolation procedures. Don't remember the web sites but two parts were mentioned namely the timer and the thermal relay. After making sure it was unplugged I removed the back lower insulation panel, removed the red wire from the relay located on the left side of the condenser and unplugged the relay. I examined it for physical damage before checking with an ohmmeter and found the thermal relay sounded like it was full of sand when I shook it. So we found PartSelect and searched for the thermal relay and found an exact picture with the part number and ordered the part. We received the $30 part 5 days later. Only took 15 minutes and two tools to install. Thank you for saving us a few hundred dollars.

compressor clicks on for about 5 seconds and then shuts off, evaporator fan is running but no cooling in the fridge.
Disconnect power. Remove back panel on the refrigerator. Relay and overload is a modular unit attached to the compressor. Disconnect module from compressor, install new unit. While you're in there clean the condenser coils with a vacuum and clean the fan and condensate pan. Reassemble, and you're chillin. Total time approx. 15 min.

Center Rail End Tap Snapped Off, And Crisper Drawer Broke Hinge Tab
Removed both veggie crisper and lower center crisper, removed glass shelves, removed broken side pantry end cap two screw, two were missing. Hardest part was to remove the rear adjustable piece and install on new end cap. Glad I took my time as the center rail will probably have to be replaced again. Poor design, numerous other comments say the same thing. Best part of the repair was ordering from partselect. Co, shipped on time and ordering was easy with complete parts diagrams.

peg to flip lid to drawer broke
biggest time was the cleaning of the area ;-) for the actual work it was less than 10 mins to replace. remove the three screws and there are two tabs on the back of the replacement part that you need to line up with the slots in the back and it simply snaps in place - put the screws back and you're done
