The is my 'refreshment' cooler and sits in our garage. Hotter than heck in the summer so the things runs a lot. Started making a little growling noise. Had to partially disassemble the back panel to get to the fan. Touched the exposed shaft for a second and the sound stopped. OK, it's the fan. Went on line, used the (really great) exploded diagram to figure out what I needed. A couple days later the parts show up. Installed the new fan blade and retainer Removed the old motor (couple of mounting screws), connected the new motor (a plug in) and mounted the new motor making sure the grommet on the front and back were engaged. Turned the unit on and everything worked. Reinstalled the foam channel, the back panel and it ran perfectly. Great support (the diagram), fast delivery and fair pricing. Not bad!

I found a replacement evaporator fan motor and 2 mounting bracket grommets at PartSelect.com at a reasonable price. I watched the installation video provided and installed the new parts as shown in the video start to finish installation time 22 minutes.i

All I had to do was snap in the shelf. Done! Now the tenants have an extra shelf to use in the freezer.

Thanks to your informative website, installation and assembly of the evaporator fan and motor was very easy. One thing I am constantly worried when I repair and replace parts around my house is getting correct and matching parts. Your website is very informative in this respect and the tutorial videos are excellent aids in replacing parts, fixing problems, and troubleshooting issues. Defrost timer is hidden in the control panel in the refrigerator top middle. Turn to off and remove two screws which are hidden behind white tabs. I had to pry the old timer from the plug with a screw driver because it was tight. Try not to short across the terminals. Plug in the new timer. Replace it in the clip where you got old one and reinstall the controls. The freezer was still all frosted up so I had to remove the cover and defrost it with a hair dryer to get it to work. Then I turned it on and it works great.

When the new one came in, I just opened the refrigerator's door and plugged (put)it into place and slid down to lock it in place. That's it. The order situation was more frustrated than the installations part.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. Followed the video about the gasket repair worked like a charm. Dryer for 5 minutes softened it and straightened it out like cake work. Snapped right in like the video, I thought it was too easy. Worked like a charm.

I first watched the video on how to do it via YouTube, to make sure there were no hidden surprises. This was probably the easiest/ quickest repair I have ever done, the ONLY thing that took any time was removing the food from the freezer

Replaced above parts and the noise problem was not resolved. Ordered a new motor, fan blade and another set of grommets from PartSelect. The parts were delivered the next day. Took me about 15 minutes to swap the new parts in. It's been 3 days since the repair and the noise has not returned.

I replaced the noisy evaporator fan motor after watching the video provided. All went well and now I have a much quieter refrigerator. I took apart the old evaporator motor to see why it rattled when moved and it had an electrical part that came undone and was the cause of the obnoxious noise that came from the refrigerator. Now, my wife and I can sleep better now that the noisy fan was replaced.

Checked the defroster coil which is located behind the rear panel in the freezer compartment, it was still working. Followed the schematics down to the defrost timer, which is located in the lower front of the refrigerator and tried that. Plugged in the new part and the problem is solved.

I followed the instructions in the video. The decorative parts were slightly different than in the video, such as screws at the top versus the bottom, but all of the working parts were the same. I was somewhat hesitant about applying pressure to remove the locking spring and fan blades and to replace them but the video reassured me and all went well. The refrigerator is operating as quietly as when it was brand new.
