Where is the screw to adjust the oil flow on to the chain you said i could have just that screw where is it

Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. You have to turn the saw on its side, it's directly below the clutch cover. There are YouTube videos available to assist you with adjusting the oil flow. Hope this helps!

Does this older cs500 vl have automatic chain oiler when you cut wood this one is an older model in the 80s i notice when i start this i don't have any oil on the chain of course i'm not cutting wood but by starting it and running it shouldn't it oil the chain was given this thing and yes there is oil in the oil tank

Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. It is supposed to release automatically release the oil to oil the chain. You can adjust the oil output manually by turning the oil adjusting screw counter clockwise on the left side. You can check the oil strainer and seals to make sure they are not clogged.
