Leaking under door
Since I have granite countertops, unscrewed 2 screws on each side of cabinet. Unscrewed the toe plate, unplugged the wire connector, and disconnected the cable
from the door which was held by tie wraps. Pulled out dishwasher about a foot. Unhooked the spring cable to the door, lifted the door out and placed it on a spare table. With door face down on a towel, I unscrewed the screws at the bottom to release the latches, then unscrew the screws that hold the door locked in place. Turned the door on its back face up, wedged a flathead driver to release the settings display, from the body of the door. Separated the 2 panels replaced the foam rubber vent seal. Placed the face face down, reconnected both pieces of the door together pushing down. Rescrewed the bottom to lock the 2 pieces together reinsert the hinges, screwed them in with nutdriver1/4". Grabbed the old gasket, replaced it with new one, sliding it into the groove on the bottom inside of door. Reattached the door to the washer, rehooked the cables to the door, retired with zip ties the cable to the underside of door, reinstalled the wire connector, and re screwed the toe plate. Pushed the dishwasher, leveled, rescrewed into cabinet. Replaced the tub gasket.

Dishwasher leaked because vent cover would not stay on
Replaced transition piece, gasket, and vent cover. The root cause problem is that the factory installed gasket was too thick and would not allow sufficient thread engagement. The replacement gasket was about 25% thinner and worked perfectly.

How do you replace the door vent seal?I have already replaced the bottom seal and the tub seal and dishwasher still has a leak
For model number GDF610PMJOES
PartSelect logo
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. The inner vent cap is turned and unlocked from the inner door panel and removed. Once that is off. The inner door panel can be removed by take off the screws that hold it into place. Shut the door and remove the outer panel, then removed the screws that hold the control panel into place. Once that is removed slide the control panel up and off and carefully lay it down. The inner vent housing can be removed the seal replaced then the parts put back together in reverse order. I hope this helps!

Hi Greg, thank you for your question. I have listed your door gasket for you down below. It is not very difficult to install these sort of parts. You just have to unscrew the screws holding your back panel to the front, then remove the gasket. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I replaced this gasket but i am still getting water leaking inside the interior of door and condensation is getting inside the control panel. How do i stop this?
For model number CDT835SSJ0SS
PartSelect logo
Hi Joe, thank you for your question. You may want to check all of the other seals on your door. Otherwise you may also want to check that your appliance is level. Sometimes when it is not level water can either leak or get into places where it should not be. Otherwise you may want to check your water inlet valve and your float switch to make sure that there is not too much water actually going into your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My dishwasher is leaking on the lower left side. I ordered a WDO8X21894 door gasket and it doesn’t fit on door. The existing one was riveted in place. Please help
For model number GDT680SSH6SS

Hello Donald, thank you for your question. Check your drain hoses to ensure everything's securely connected (including the clamps holding the hose in place on either side) and verify your water inlet valve part PS12743161, isn't stuck, which could cause leaking on one side or the other. We hope this helps.

The door vent keeps falling out and there is a leak sometimes in the lower left corner. Are these problems related?
For model number DDT596MJ2ES
PartSelect logo
Hello Paul, thank you for the question. Based on our research, both issues might be related. As the vent cover has a seal behind it, if the seal is damaged, there is a slight chance of leaking. You may need to replace the cover, part number PS8769905, and the seal, part number PS8688151. Also, you may need to check the bottom gasket of the door. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of assistance!
