Charcoal Filter

Hello Keith, thank you for your question. The filter has to be installed horizontally, at the top of the opening. There should be two grooves on either side of the opening. The filter slides in horizontally and once the filter has cleared the bottom tab, it can be turned toward you and should slide down and sit behind the bottom tab. I checked your model, and part number 5230W1A003A is the correct filter for your appliance model number. We are providing you with the instructions to change the filter. 1- Remove the vent grill mounting screws located on the top of the microwave. 2- Slide the grill over to the left to remove the vent grill. 3- Remove the charcoal filter. 4- Place a new filter on that place. 5- Replace the vent grill and replace the mounting screws.
