This micro-switch is designed for use in your microwave. The function of this part is to monitor the door latch position and communicate to the electronic control board whether the latch is open or closed. If your microwave does not provide heat, or will not start properly, you may need to replace the micro-switch. This part is approximately 1 inch in length and 3/4-inch in width. It is made of black plastic with two metal prongs. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is sold individually. Be sure to disconnect the microwave from the power source before you begin this repair.

If the turntable on your microwave does not rotate, or you can hear a grinding noise, the problem may be with the motor. The motor is typically located below the floor of the oven, and is accessed through the bottom. The motor is normally held in place with a retaining screw and will have two wires attached to it as well. If the motor is making a grinding noise it will need to be replaced. If the motor does not turn, you can check for voltage or continuity with a multi-meter. Make sure the power is disconnected from your microwave before beginning this repair.

After watching a few youtube videos, I used a phillips SD to take controll pannel off to access the switches that sense when microwave door is closed. Swapped out all 3 switched and mocrowave works like new. $20 fix (shipping included) read more

tested all 3 of the door switche for continuity, the top switch was faulty, replaced it,for approx $4.00 and saved a $350 dollar microwave. read more
