Neither element will heat, but i have no error message. Do i need a new control panel or new elements?
For model number JBS55SM8SS
Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for contacting us. I would suggest testing both your broil and bake elements. You should also test your temperature sensor as well to make sure that part is still working. If all of those parts are checking out to be fine, then it may be your control board that is the issue. You can test all of your inner over parts with a multi meter to make sure that it is not one of those that is giving you the trouble. Good luck with your repair.

Bad line error code and beeping
For model number JBS55DM2BB
Hi Steve, Thank you for the question. The Bad Line error could be a few things. There could be a loose or bad wire or voltage spikes or surge in the outlet the appliance is plugged into. I suggest unplugging the appliance and resetting the outlet at the breaker. Plug the appliance back in to see if the error clears. You can also check the wiring to the electrical plug and the control board. Hope this helps!

The bake part of my oven does not heat up. My heating element popped and was replaced. The broiler part works fine. You hear the click when you turn on bake but no heat. Any ideas?
For model number jbs55dm2ww
Hello Stan,
Thanks for your question. You may wish to test the temperature sensor and the bake element with a multimeter to see if they have electrical continuity. Replace them if they do not have continuity.

My range was working fine one morning but then by the evening all of my burners and oven went out. The clock and indicator lights on the control board work. Replace the circuit breaker and still no burners or oven. What's wrong? Thanks!
For model number JBS66MM2BS
Hi Timothy,
Thank you for your question. If your stove is not working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the temperature sensor, the bake element, the terminal block, the electronic control board, the oven light socket, the burner switches and surface burner elements. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Yje electronic control panel was shorted out. I orderd a new one and in a timely mannor your service delivered the part via Fed Ex.
The repair was simple. All wires were color coded and the new part had the same color codes marked. Simply unplugged the wires from the bad part and plugged them into the new part a reinstalled the part to the back panel of the range.

Oven could not be turned off once settings were turned on except by unplugging hookup.
Took back cover panel off (upper) and removed the 4 1/4 inch nut screws. Used nut driver and removed the 4 screws holding control panel in place. Put new panel in place and unhooked electrical connections and installed on new panel. Plugged stove back in and checked operation. All OK, so then put back cover on and everybody is happy.

Oven would not get come up to temperature
I knew I had a bad control board. Using the repair videos, replacing this part was very easy to do. While I was at it, I replaced my oven temperature sensor. as well, and even though it wasn't bad, I replaced my oven heating element so that I could get some more mileage out of my 14-year-old range. The issue: after completing my repair actions, my oven element still would not heat. I double-checked my connections and I discovered I hadn't ensured one of the wires on the control board was properly seated. This was one of the wires that go to the heating element. After ensuring proper connection, everything worked perfectly!

My electronic control board went out so I could not use my oven. My oven light blew as well.
I started with changing the bulb. I removed the small bracket that holds the glass cover over the bulb unscrewed the bulb and reversed to replace the bulb. To replace the control board I removed the top plate on the back of my stove took the small screw's out of the control panel and unplugged the wire's. Plugged the wire's into the right spots on the new control board and put it back together.
This was simple enough to repair for me, a relative novice. Just remember you need a nut driver to take the back panel off, take a photo of the existing board so you remember which wires go where, and you definitely need a hair dryer to heat up the sticker on the old board so you can remove it and put it on the new board.

easy to replace, very fast shipping to me.
the part that i ordered came over night. couldn't believe it. I was worried about ordering it online but it was the lowest price thank going to an appliance store. I'm glad I did. So easy to install, took maybe 15 to 20 min. Most of the time spent was taking the screws out of the stove and getting the wires of the old part. I would highly recommend this company. I was able to cook Thanksgiving food. Thanks Part Select.
