Unscrewed two screws at top of frame securing dishwasher to the countertop, then pulled the washer forward about 4 inches, which was as far as it could go. The spring had shot all the way to the back of the compartment; I fished it forward with a stiff wire. It was tricky to get the spring re-attached to the lower flange, since I had to do that by feel. Attached a rubber band to the top of the spring and the front slot on the door flange. Hooked the top end of the spring through the linkage and pulled it forward up to the rear slot on the door flange and dropped it into place, at which time it snapped in half. Fortunately I had bought two. I repeated the procedure, except this time I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to grab the top of the spring just below the linkage, then stretch the string and swing the linkage into place without placing any force on it. Then I removed the rubber band, pushed the dishwasher back under the counter, and replaced the counter screws. It would be great if they made these fragile linkages out of metal instead of plastic, or designed the spring to go directly into the slot with a bushing.

The repair to the lower wash rack could be done with my fingers. Purchasing 4 parts was cheaper than buying a whole new rack.

Replace wax timer for detergent cup. Replaced foam insulation at bottom of the door.

I purchased an 8 year old house, and had some extra tines and a bracket for the dishwasher. I had no idea what they were or how they mounted! By using the excellent illustrations at partselect, I figured out I was missing a couple of mounting brackets; but the real bonus was the video which showed exactly how the brackets and tines were installed and used. Haven't used the bottom door shelf of my refrigerator for years, lived with a lint filter on my hand-me-down dryer that was taped with electrical tape since the day I inherited it, and loaded and unloaded my dishwasher with irritation because of a broken clip on the bottom rack. Ordered the parts from PartSelect and got them in just 2 days. Fixed all three problems in about 15 minutes total. It's like getting new appliances...why didn't I do this sooner?

Snapped old ones off and snapped new ones on.

Replaced silverware basket and removed broken clips and replaced with new clips. I am very satisfied with the parts and service.

Remove and replace support/mounting brackets by hand. no tools required. Very simple - wish I had done it a year ago.
