How do you remove this part? It does not simply lift out.
For model number KUIS15NRTB2
Hello Bryan,
Thanks for your question. This part is located in the water pump area of the ice cube maker. You will need a 1/4" nut driver to remove it, and you may need to remove the metal bracket holding in the wire harness.
I hope this helps.

If this can be tested how would you do it?
For model number GI15NDXXQ1
Hi Phillip,
Thank you for your question. The sensor can be tested with an multimeter. Before testing the sensor with a multimeter, let it warm up to room temperature. It should read 6.2K Ohms at room temperature. If the readings are far off from what you are getting, then the sensor needs to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

You said to read 6.2k ohms, i am reading 10.2k ohms. Is this 10.2k ohms an indication of a faulty sensor. Thanks
For model number W10548509
Hello Thomas, thank you for your question. It should read 6.2K Ohms at room temperature. If the readings are far off from what you are getting, then the sensor needs to be replaced. Since your reading is 10.2k Ohms, I would say the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Solinoid won’t shut off. Runs continually. Overfills resivoir. Drain pumps kicks on and drains excess water. Cycle repeats continuously without shutting off. Unit is fairly dirty from mineral build-up. Thank you for taking time for help.

Ice maker would not make ice. I went through diagnostics and it showed the level sensor was not working. Water would continue filling the reservoir and not shut off to start making ice.
Took off several plastic covers to gain better accessibility to the sensor. Had to pull out the whole support piece to get at the part. Took out the old sensor, cleaned the unit as best as possible, then installed the replacement. Turned on the power to the unit and reinstalled all the parts I took out for better viewing and accessibility. Started up the unit and it is slowly building ice, which I will remove and dispose of to start getting clean ice.

One of the circulation pumps was going bad and making a loud noise.
I replaced the two pumps, since both were the same design...figuring if one went bad then the other would soon go bad...and then I also replace the water level sensor. All had quick connect plugs. The time is just taking apart the various pieces, cleaning, installing the new pumps and sensor, then reassembling.
