Hi Dana, Thank you for your question. Sometimes if one of the buttons a on a control panel is not working, you may use a hair dryer on low heat to see if you can get it to work. If this does not help, you may need to replace either the user control and display board or the control panel. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

My dishwasher is difficult to start. Starts to drain, then quits running. By playing with the control start button many times I can finally get the dishwasher to run. The error message code is 6-2. I am unsure which part would be the correct replacement control panel that I need or is it a combination of replacement parts.

Hello Jeanne, Thank you for writing. We suggest checking the water supply to the dishwasher for proper flow and good pressure. Check wiring to the water inlet valve. If the wiring and the water supply checks out then test the water inlet valve. Use your multitester to test the valve for continuity. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Touch each of the meter's probes to a terminal. If you receive a reading of infinity, it means the valve's solenoid is faulty and the valve needs to be replaced. If your valve has two solenoids (four terminals), test the second pair of terminals in the same manner. If either pair of terminals receives a result of infinity, replace the water inlet valve. If the Valve is good, then replace the electronic control board. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

I cannot change the wash features anymore. Pressing the soft control buttons does not change the blue led lights. The Heavy wash is locked into memory and only the start button works. Not even the cancel button works any more. Everything else works fine. Can you tell me what part to order?

Hi Daniel, thank you for the question. We believe your dishwasher is having this problem due to a faulty user control and display board, part number PS11756841, which may need to be checked. If this part is faulty, you may need to replace it. Glad to be of assistance!

It has power at the plug there are no lights on the program display. Can this be a latch issue or display panel issue. The front vent where the steam comes on the finish is coming off (i got this late 2013) should Whirlpool stand behind this product thanks

Hi Dale, Thank you for your question. It could be a latch issue. I would suggest testing your micro switches to make sure that they are working correctly on your latch. If it is not your latch however you will want to check the wiring harness to your control board. If your wiring harness shows no damage, then it would be your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
