No water from door, but icemaker working
I easily ordered the part. When it came in, I just shut off the water, disconnected the electricity, and followed instructions to remove shelving and drawers. Then removed the rear interior cover, removed the old water inlet valve and installed the new one. Just a couple moldex wire connections and the 3 water lines in and out. Don't know if this is still ok, but so simple a caveman could do it. Sorry Geico.

Icemaker was letting too much water in and freezing a big block of ice instead of making cubes
Looked online for instructions. I had to remove the shelves from inside the frig, then pop off part of the right inside back wall. The way the 3 water lines attached to the inlet valve was a terrible design. There are plastic little collars that need to be pushed back to release the water lines from the old valve, then when you install the new valve, you need to push them back to reattach the water lines. Once installed, one had a leak. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the little plastic collar to disengage. I couldn't push the line in further and I couldn't get it back out. Ended up cutting the line off at the valve just to get it out. Then had to cut out the piece that was still stuck in the valve. Tried to install it again and it leaked even more. Ended up putting the old valve back in and throwing away the $130 new inlet valve because there are no returns on electrical parts. Total waste of time and money ! ! ! Not happy to say the least.

Ice maker not receiving water refill
Replaced water/ice maker inlet valve from video instructions from Just Answer. The inlet tube for the water dispenser would not cede in the valve and this created a leak problem from the water dispenser connection. Called repair tech and he could not get the line to cede correctly in the inlet valve. Am going to request a replacement part. This has been very frustrating!

Hello Robert, thank you for your question. If the valve and the icemaker have been replaced, the issue you're having is going to be within the dispenser section. It sounds like an issue with either the electronic control board, where you make the selections for ice, water, cubed, crushed, ect, or the chute assembly. I would recommend replacing these parts. I hope this helps!

My ice maker started dripping water into the ice maker. The water dispenser works fine. Do i need to replace the water inlet valve ps11755669 on the back of the fridge or do i need to replace the inlet valve ps11752594 located on the back wall of the fridge? Thank you for your response.

Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. If there is water leaking into the ice maker, then you will need to check the water inlet valve with a multimeter to see if it is working correctly. Set your multitester to the R X 1 ohms setting to test for continuity. Place each of the multitester's leads on a terminal. Your multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. Closely examine your water inlet valve. The exact ohm resistance rating you should test for may be marked on the valve. If the test you conduct with your icemaker water inlet valve does not produce these results, then you should replace the component. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The water flow through the door is s l o w (1/2 cup in 50 sec.). We've replaced the filter, without improvement. We've been advised to flush the lines with vinegar to remove possible calcium build up. Do you have any further thoughts or suggestions?Thank you very much, steve p

We get water to icemaker ok and get ice. When ice maker gets water there is no noise. When we get water from door there is a noise. It started after changing the filter. I checked install of filter and it was ok. Sill noise. I tried another filter in case the first one was bad. Still noise with second new filter. Our handyman said we needed to replace the water valve at the back of the cabinet. Is part # 20 of cabinet the correct valve that sends water to door water part and will replacing valve eliminate the noise?

Maytag refrigerator, put in a new filter (inside upper right side) then turn on water supply and water drips out where filter attaches. Remove filter from refrigerator and turn on water supply and water shoots out everywhere.

Hello Rick, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the water filter head and reservoir assembly as the filter may not be connecting properly. If the filter is removed and reinstalled and still leaks, you will want to first replace the reservoir and head assembly PartSelect Number PS3654989. If the filter is removed and not needed, a filter bypass plug would be required. If you do not have this bypass, the head and reservoir would have to be ordered as well, as it comes with the bypass plug and the bypass is no longer available separately. I hope this helps.

Ice maker is making ice but no water is coming out. I can hear a noise when I hit the dispenser. Does this sound like an inlet valve replacement or a frozen water line? Thank you
For model number mfi2569vem4

Hi Darrell, Thank you for your question. If your refrigerator is not dispensing water, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the water filter, the water filter bypass, the dispenser door spring, the dispenser actuator, the water reservoir and the water inlet valve. We have included a link that you may reference on how check these parts. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Ice maker isn't making ice. The water dispenser is working and I recently changed the filter, a few days after it stopped making ice.

Hi Douglas, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend making sure that the water tube is properly connected to the ice maker and is not blocked or damaged. If that is not causing the issue, make sure that the shut-off arm is not in the off position, as it may have stopped the ice production. If the issue persists, then you may need to check the ice maker assembly, part number PS11769140, as it might be faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The Water dispenser runs slowly, in slow pulses, until there is not enough water pressure to dispense water. The fridge cannot run with a filter inserted as NO water comes out of the dispenser. It currently runs with a bypass. I am wondering if there is something wrong in the filter housing or the inlet valve. any thoughts?
For model number KRFC400ESS01

Hello Sandy, thank you for your question. If the water line behind the refrigerator is kinked or bent, the water pressure will be reduced. A clogged water filter PS11722130 can restrict the flow of water to the dispenser and prevent the dispenser from working properly. Or, you can install a bypass cap PS12731165 to increase the pressure. We hope this information will help you.

There is continuous water leak from behind the ice and water dispenser on the outside of the fridge. The leak is not from the water spout. Water system is ok. Leak is coming from the ice dispenser module in the fridge into the drain area of the ice flow and pours behind the push lever of the ice at the front of the fridge. There is no leak from the ice maker inside the fridge. Kindly let me know what could be the issue and part/s required to resolve.
