How old is this fridge?

One day my fridge control panel lights does not lit up. It flashes then goes off on a regular basis. The light inside the fridge however working fine. The fridge and the freezer seems to stop working. Eventually, the freezer and inside the fridge stop cooling and everything warm up. Leave it alone for 1-2 days after everything has thaw out, the fridge start up again and looks like everything is going to work fine. However, 2 days later the same symptom occurs. This issue is an on going cycle. Can you tell me the possible symptom and parts to fix fridge please.

Hello Dzung, Thank you for the question. This normally indicates the Control Panel is defective and may need to be replaced Before doing so, we recommend testing to see if 120VAC is coming from the Controls Board on the back of the appliance as well. We hope this helps!

Hi Mike, thank you for reaching out. The water inlet valve supplies water to the ice maker. If it is faulty, clogged, or not receiving sufficient water pressure (at least 20 psi), it won’t allow water to flow into the ice maker. You can test the valve for continuity using a multimeter. If it is defective, it will need to be replaced. The part number is PS11752594. We hope this information is useful!
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck le

I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
