Purchased used washin machine w/o drain hose
After realizing I had purchased a used washing machine without a drain hose I thought I would never find one, but then I found partselect.com. After easily locating the part on the web site from the detailed diagrams and model number I then ordered it. Receiving the part quickly I used a socket to remove the plastic connector that prevents the hose from disconnecting once the washer is turned on. I fed the hose through the plastic connector and into the drain hole without any issues. I then used my one small socket to secruely fasten it back together. There was no additional tools or items needed to successfully attach the washer drain hose.
Basically, I just followed the instructions in the video that is posted on this sight. It went off without a hitch. Removed the screws from the control panel, lifted it up and out of the way. Then I used the putty knife to release the clips that hold the front panel in place and then removed the top of the washer. Pretty easy from there to swap out the dampening straps and reassemble the washer. Saved a lot of money doing it myself.
First off, the repair part arrived in only two days. The schematic was very detailed and accurate on your web site. Once the part arrived and removed from the bag, it was a snap to install with just a needle nosed pliers. Total time was less than 5 minutes. This was the first time I had used PartSelect and you can bet I'll be back. Thanks again. Gary K. in IN.
The cornor broke off the housing assembly and instead of rigging up a stablizer, i simply took the part number and ordered a new one.
I too the front knob off the timer, took the screws out of the top of the panel, unpluged the timer and plugged the new timer in, removed the old timer one screw and pulled the old one out, reversing the process to get the new timer mounted, replaced the panel, replaced the timer knob and finished the job in about ten min. It is not rocket science, well I confess, I once worked on rockets and their components, so it was real easy for me.
The cap just removed by tapping a few times with a screw driver and hammer. then pulling upward it came off and I placed the new dispenser on. a couple minutes saved me from running up and down to add softener and it was very inexpensive. Thanks alot PARTS SELECT.
Took front panel off the washer and found the pump working but no water drained from the tub. Took the motor off the washer by removing the two 10mm screws and attaching hoses. Decided to take the motor apart and found the propeller shaft has broken off inside the pump. Ordered new motor from Partselect and replaced it. Washer is working fine now.
Removed the front panel with a stiff putty knife, removed the worn belt. Placed the new belt on the front pully and than the rear pully, turning clockwise. After checking the spin cycle I put the front panel back on and I was done.
Open back cover and found that drain pump had a bad seal. Took it apart and bought new seal some what same size. Put everything togather and start washing clothers and wife complained that it became wost the before. When on line and found pump and price was just right to take a risk. Ordered on sunday and got ups tuesday. Replaced pump on Sunday and leak was gone and wife was happy.

The hose has a tapered end that fits in a tapered hole in the back of the washing machine. When insalled the first time, the joint leaked badly. My solution was to coat the hose end and the interior of the hole in the back of the washing machine with silicon sealant;let it set up for a few minutes and install the new hose. This solved the leak and the hose seems to be working fine now.
removed washer front panel, top panel to access the water fill spout and hose. Disconnected and replaced. personnel at part select were very knowledgable about detailed part and the overnight service was right on time. I would recommend part select for your next appliance parts needs.
turned off the water and removed the hoses. Then removed the screws that held the back plate (that contains the knobs). removed the two screws holding the water valves and the hose to the washer. replaced the valve and then reassembled the rest.
