Dryer stopped working/would not turn on.
Basically the dryer would not turn on, after finding your site putting in the model number and description of my problem, I was able to trouble shoot and pretty fast I was able to determine the knob which controls the heat setting and time was cracked. I ordered the part and received it in a couple of days removed the old cracked knob and installed the new one no actual tools needed.

water wont stop filing up washer &wont start spining
Remove three screws take of knob remove valve take off hose then reverse to install

Replaced timer because timer and knob were stripped out but did not solve the problem

knob broke when someone sat something heavy and pushed against it
Once the part came in, I noticed that the new one sent to me was missing a circular piece (has arrow) attached to the knob (has line that lines up with arrow. No problem - I snapped the circular part from the old one and super glued it to the new knob and slid it on the post. So easy, even I did it.

Broken belt
Removed front panel, laid washer on backside. Turned pulled while holding with screwdriver. Belt is very tight on pulley and motor.

Washer knob was stripped.
Followed the I minute video instruction. Easily removed old knob and simply slipped on new knob -- all in 5 minutes. And It worked -- and saved me around $70 for a service call that would have required me to be home for two visits. The part was only $10, including shipping!!

It had a broken belt.
I just did a google search and found a video that shows to use a zip tie to hold the belt to the big pulley and simply turn the drum and the belt goes right on. Then cut the zip tie off and you are ready to go. Took all of 3 minutes to change the belt from start to finish.

The timer stoped working
I went to you Tube video found my wash machine and how to remove the knob. I found the teeth on the timer to be warn down so I purchased a new knob. The plate that the timer attached to was broken. I made a metal part and glued it on with Grilia glue. This was a design defect by GE. The new timer fit very well and the wash machine worked like a new one.

the knobs would not turn
removed knobs and popped new knobs on. on the washer, removed the old clip from behind the knob, removed old knob, put on new knob with new clip. very easy. the videos were soooooo very helpful, thanks so much...

knob stripped
needle nose pliers to pull out old tab behind old knob. simply pop new knob on when you remove old. video gave me self confidence to do it myself.
