Washer left a puddle of water after a load of laundry.
After some research, it seemed like the water pump was the culprit since I knew all of the hoses were good. My washer was a little different from the one in the repair video. My washer didn't have the gauges on a hinge, so it sort of had to hang there. Also, there were no spring clips on the interface/dashboard, there were screws at the back of the washer that I had to unscrew which allowed me to lift up the dashboard so that I could remove the clips from the back to the main panel that surrounds the front/sides. Because my washer was old, I had the most difficulty just pulling the old pump off and putting the side/front panel back on the front of the machine. The video was obviously from a guy replacing a part on a brand new washing machine. Just work the part gently back and forth and you should be able to remove if it doesn't come off right away. I've run 2 loads of laundry through the washing machine with no leaks, so this fix was cheap and awesome!

After 18 years and a family of four, my drain hose developed about a 3/4 inch split.
After removing the body housing for the washer to find the problem, I left the housing off until my drain hose arrived (in 2 business days). Remember to keep your spring hose rings from the old drain hose. Within 10 minutes, I had the new drain hose attached and clipped in to the rear of the machine. Within 30 minutes, my wife was washing a load of clothes. **Reminder: This is a good time to thoroughly clean the areas of your washer that you normally do not get to. Also remember that your first load of clothes washed after the repairs and cleaning should be dark (i.e. jeans or work clothes) should their be any residual dirt in your drum after cleaning.

The washer leaked out of the back left seam when filling.
Watch the video on how to open this model washer. Unplug the unit. Remove the front panel. remove the bolts so you can lift the top. Disconnect the bleach tube at the top. Lift the top and hold in place with a stick or broom handle. Locate the air gap unit on filler tube. Unscrew the hose clamp on the inlet side of the air gap. Disconnect the hose and pull out the rubber tube. Fold the edges of the rubber valve off the inner nozzle and remove. Install the nozzle into the new Rubber valve. Reverse process to finish.

Did not agitate, made ratcheting-clicking noise
Pretty much followed repair video. The parts were wrong except the four dogs and rubber seal that went around the softener cap. After unplugginh the machine before starting work and removing the agitator per video, I had to put agitator on the ground, stand on both sides of the base and pulled it apart. The new cam was way too tall so I removed the bearing gently with a screwdriver removed the old cam dogs, put new ones in and seated the bearing to hold the dogs in. I than put agitator grease on. It would be nice if the 5 milligrams of grease that cost about 10 cents but can only find in a tube for 5 dollars was included with the kit. I now have enough grease to do a thousand agitators. Anyway, I reassembled per video replacing the cap seal and tested the unit. It is important to plug machine back in, because it was unplugged BEFORE working on it. It works like new. It is a very simple repair and cost about $20 instead of the $75 just to get someone to look at it plus cost of parts and labor.

The washer machine would fill with water but the timer would not advance
I hastily (miss diagnosed) the symptoms by assuming that the Drain Pump was in fault, Ordered the Drain Pump part online on Sunday got it early on Wednesday. Installed the Drain Pump but the timer would not move. So back to drawing board. Got on the phone with the nice people on PartSelect ordered the Lid Switch Assembly. Got the part in less than 20 hours To install the Lid Switch assembly remove the back panel by removing 3 sheet metal screws at the top and 2 at the bottom now you will have access to all the wires and the Lid Switch Assembly. It is attached with one sheet metal screw. The hole in the Assembly is slotted so you may have to slide it back and forth for the switch to get activated when you open the door. Installed the part, plugged the washer machine in filled the tank. The washer machine came alive the timer was moving (the washer machine start working again). This washer machine should be good for another 20 years. By the way this was the first breakdown on this washer machine after 20 years of service. Thanks PartSelect for well trained people and prompt service I couldn't have done it with out your help.

The agitator was not working in the washing machine.
I used the flat screwdriver to pop off the top of the agitator. then I used my socket wrench with extension to remove the bolt holding the top of the agitator to the bottom agitator. I pulled out the small piece that holds the agitator cogs. The agitator cogs were sheared off. I used my screwdriver to remove what was left of them, cleaned up the unit, then installed the new cogs. Re-insert the piece into the agitator unit and tighten the bolt back. Popped the lid back on top and ran a load of laundry to test. It works perfect! Although the teeth are pretty worn on the agitator as well, so I'm looking to buy a whole new agitator unit next. Very easy fix!!
