Dishwasher was probably loaded wrong by kids. Broke upper spray arm and upper bracket.
Looked at your excellent blow-up of part assembly of my model and ordered parts. Upper bracket had been redesigned from original. Quick replacement repair, no leaks, all is well.

Bought house, dishwasher wasn't working properly
The DW that came with the house I bought wasn't working properly. I reviewed the owner's manual that I downloaded online and determined that it was missing the tube that connected the upper sprayer to water supply. I watched the Youtube video that was embedded on part order page. It took me about 5 minutes to install new sprayer arm assembly (and it took only 2 days to receive the part with no special shipping. Highly pleased.

Replace upper spray arm mount
The broken mount was removed with a screwdriver. The replacement was a modified design and had no screw clamp-it just snapped into place. The location on the rack was clear because only one position on the upper rack had the correct spacing between the rack wires. However, once the spray arm was attached with a screwdriver, it was at an odd angle and would not rotate as it ran into the rack. However, removing the mount (required a small screwdriver to press the snaps and release) and reversing it provided the correct angle for the spray arm. The mount needs to project at an angle perpendicular to the UNDERSIDE of the upper rack so that the spray arm rotates parallel to the underside of the rack, not level.

Door latch broken on Kitchenaid Dishwasher
Removed the front panels and then wedged a screwdriver to get the door latch open. Removed the 4 star screws across the top inside to remove the top console. Unlatched the grey ribbon cable, then removed the 3 screws holding the electronics panel in place. Replaced the plastic handle, then aligned the metal bar in place before reversing the direction to put the thing back together. The hardest part of the job was wedging the screwdriver up in the opening to get the door to open in the first place.

leaking badly & not cleaning dishes
You need a properly sized hex (Allen) wrench to get the screws out. Basically simple: remover bottom roller tray, unscrew large plastic holding bolt, remove lower spray arm, unscrew bolts (be sure the wrench is sized right or you might strip the heads), and replace gasket; then reverse procedure. Chances are if the gasket was bad, it will be very obvious (out of circular slot and stretched).

Rotted water feeder tube and broken dispenser.
Middle spray arm kit - WATCH the video!!! After watching the video, I knew I could do the repair. It took me about 15 min. The detergent dispenser - I know this will require more time. I am a "visual" person and I could not find a video for dispenser repair...I could be overlooking it.
