We removed the two very tiny screws that held the plate through which the element was connected to the wiring. It was extremely difficult to do so, because the screws were so tiny. Our socket set did not have such a small attachment, and we had to use an adjustable wrench. Once we accomplished that, we unhooked the old broil element from the wires. At that point, the wires snapped back into the wall. There was almost no slack to pull the wires back out into the oven so that we could hook the new broil element up. It took more than an hour of maneuvering before we were able to get hold of enough of the wires so that we could grab onto each one and hook up the new broil element. One we did that, it was easy to place the broil element back into its brackets.
Parts Select is the only parts place I found on the internet that had what I needed on my first purchase, so when I needed these clips I naturally went back to them. Product was easy to find, price was fine, receipt for payment quick and more importantly receipt of item was super quick. Thanks to the efficiency of this place and my old appliances, I will continue to go to them as needed.
Took door off of hinge Removed 6 screws from bottom of door Removed glass Removed screws from side of door Removed door from frame Replaced the end caps using exisiting screws Put door back together in reverse order Pretty easy but simple instructions would have made it a 15 minute job instead of 30
As with all of my orders from Part Select the part was as correct and arrived in a timely manner. The installation was easy. Remove two screws, unplug the old element from the wires, install wires on new element and reinstall the element. Restored power and everything worked fine. Thanks, Ken Fuelleman
First turn circuit breaker off. Remove two retaining screws, disconnect two connectors at the end of the element, toss old element and reverse the procedure to install.
- removed the old element - looked for part number, was none - could not find direct replacement listed - compared to dimensions on drawing - ordered part - discovered that the mounting plate on new element was too small, holes did not line up, did not cover opening in back of oven. - sawed off mounting plate on new element - removed mounting plate from old element -drilled out holes on old mounting plate to accept new element - attached the modified element - Everything works fine.

Lower Oven Bake Element Burned Out
I should note that my first order to PartsSelect.com was made on-line and that I selected the wrong part by comparing the burned-out element to the web site picture. When I received that part, I phoned and quickly corrected my mistake, ordered the correct part and obtained return instructions.
With the correct part in hand, I removed the two screws holding the element in place, pulled the element out a short distance to disconnect the two wires and removed the burned-out element. Reversing this procedure I installed the new bake element and completed the job by checking out the oven heating. The hardest part of all this was reaching over the oven door and stretching to unscrew and screw the necessary screws.
I turned off the electricity to the oven.and removed the door. I removed the 2 screws with a nut driver holding the element in place, pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires with pliers , clamped the 2 wires together to keep them from falling in the back of liner. When the new element was received the procedure was reversed. Electricity was restored and the oven works perfectly.
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires, connected new one, put back in place with screws
removed two screws holding the element in place, pulled old element out enough to remove wires that are attached with flag terminals. Installation was in reverse. Turned the oven on and cooked some biscuits. The element that I received from PartSelect was a perfect match.
I had to remove two screws that held these elements in place from back of oven; pull the elements out about three inches to disconnect two wires; connected wires to new elements and replaced two screws.
A very easy job to perform thanks to right parts from PartSelect.
Element feet broke off and element was laying against botom of oven.
Turned off the power at the panel and then simply removed the two hext screws and unplugged the old element. Plugged in the new element and used a nut driver to relpace the two screws.
I researched the part number from partselect.com, ordered it and in less than a week (even in all the snow!) I had my part. Fifteen minutes later, my wife was broiling dinner! I repaired my broiler element without waiting on a repairman and for less than $50.00!
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Replaced the defective element with the new - all inless than fifteen minutes!
