Was not making ice cubes
Only needed to remove one screw, slide unit out and disconnect the power cord. Theb reverse the above operation to install the replace ice maker unit. Quick and extremely easy....

ice maker very slow and arm that controls amount of ice sticking and quit making ice
took 1 screw out and removed ice maker and slid new one in and replace screw and connected power cord

Bad switch for door prevented interior light from coming on
Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. I am the biggest fan of your company & it's repair video. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Door would not close properly at the last few inches, now it closes good at this time but now need to be raised up to the 5/8 inch as the book says, haven't done that yet

would not "dump" ice cubes
I am more than 80 yrs, always thought I could fix just about everything--but, this looked complicated. Once I received the new icemaker; took a good look where the screw-holes, etc. were, then removed the "old" one. Took about 20 or 30 minutes, then the "new" one was easily installed.

The ice auger was rusting getting rust on the ice cubes. This also hindered the auger from working properly.
I removed the ice container with the auger inside. I removed the front panel, then the auger and housing. I had to clean all of the parts that had rust on them. I got some of the parts mixed up and was having a hard time putting them back where they belonged. I went back on the PartSelect web site and with my IPad and opened the exploded view of the parts. This enabled me to put the auger back together. It works perfectly now. Saved a lot of money by doing it myself. Thanks PartSelect.

Put the part in and observed water leaking from the ice maker which caused the cup to break
Ordered new Ice Maker from you and fixed the problem completely.

The girlfriend opened the door and then it wouldn't shut on its own or stay closed
Empty door first then take a phillip heads screw driver and unscrewed the top hinge cover 1 screw. Then used 5/16 nut driver to loosen top hinge from fridge. remove door by lifting and then lay on table to replace the lower washer that is held in by 2 screws and you only need to loosen one all the way leaving one in to align then replace and tighten it up your done.
