Installing the Ice and Water Filter
Take filter out of the box and open the refrigerator. Open the housing in the frig that holds the filter and twist the light-blue piece 1/4 turn, counter-clockwise. (Put the light-blue piece in a safe place.) Take foil away from filter. With 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction, twist the filter into its position. Let five gallons run through the system to get fresh, filtered water.

Pried out the old switch with small screwdriver, popped in the new one and tah-dah!! ..the light came on. While I was at it, I cleaned out the freezer :). I cannot begin to imagine what a repairman would have charged for this.

I watched the video on PartSelect's web site and did it exactly as described. The video was probably the most helpful aid in the repair.

I broke a little piece on the pantry assembly.
My husband had to do this before (bad refrigerator design), so he methodically removed the assembly, replaced the part and replaced all pieces.

Plastic Pin on end cap which holds pantry lid broke
This is the second time I have had to replace the right side pantry cap, and have replaced the left side once. The pins on the end caps are flimsy plastic and it doesn't take much for them to break off. That said, the part arrived two days after I ordered it. A 1/4" nutdriver is all you need to replace it. Take the storage bins above the pantry out and the glass cover and support bars over the pantry out. There are two or three 1/4" bolts holding the pantry end cap in place. The right side pantry cap is connected to a sliding mechanism to open the air/temperature control opening on the the interior back wall of the refrigerator. This long piece on the back has a small tab that inserts in a slot at the left side. After removing the bolts, remove the pantry cap and the air control mechanism as one piece. Use the nutdriver to remove the metal drawer slides from the broken cap and transfer to the new cap. Carefully work the plastic sliding mechanism from the backside of the end cap to remove it and the temperature control lever from the front of the end cap. A little patience, prying and turning of the pieces to remove them is required. Transfer to the new end cap in the reverse manner. Reinsert temperature control into slot at back and bolt the end cap back into place.

Crisper frame replaced
I order a bare crisper frame, no glass, no slider controls. The old frame lifted out easily. I did not realize the glass top is not glued in, because food drippings had it somewhat stuck in place. But only somewhat - I almost dropped the glass when I turned the frame over. Once the glass was out, I removed the humidity sliders by gently lifting one end so I could slide them to a place where they lifted off. (Look for the notch-outs.) Then I put the parts in the new frame and put it back in the frig.

Replace crisper drawer
The replacement itself was as easy as it gets. What made it harder was the need to remove the white plastic cover from the old drawer. Although some said it was easy, ours was a bit of a challenge. The video was helpful, in letting us know to start at the bottom when removing the cover. After that, pretty easy. No tools required.

Broken Pantry door pin
As described in many of the previous peoples instructions. Upon removal of the end cap I did have to take the air controller apart and clean it. Apparently there was spillage we didn't know about until i took all the pieces apart. After cleaning, the items worked fine. I reinstalled and am back in business. All I had to do was remove the end cap screws and also the drawer slide screws. I replaced the door slide on the new end cap, replaced the cooler arms and then re-screwed the new end cap in place. Simple..Because of cleaning, time ran to about 30 minutes.

right pantry hinge broke off while cleaning the refrigerator
After locating and ordering the part on this web site, it arrived in LESS THAN 24 hours. First remove the pantry drawer and the crisper drawers and their glass shelves in order to have room to work. The old part was secured with only 2 of the 3 available screws (cost savings or sloppy assembly) using a 1/4" nutdriver. The next tricky part is removing the entire right pantry end cap which at that point still includes the temperature control slider. This is done by carefully rotating the front of the assembly towards the center of the refrigerator. There is a tab at the rear which will come loose as you rotate. You don't have to force anything. Once you have the whole thing out on a table, carefully remove the slider assembly, noting how it comes apart. A quick picture may help you. Do not force anything or you will have to buy more parts. Use a screwdriver to remove the drawer slide and attach it to the new pantry end cap. Replace the slider parts onto the new pantry cap in the same order that you removed them. To replace the assembly, first insert the tab into the back of the refrigerator, then rotate the assembly back towards the right side. Finally, replace the attachment screws. Be sure to clean everything while it is out. If it is like ours there were lots of drips and crumbs.

Broken pantry cover hinge; broken rail on crisper drawer.
The parts arrived as expected, and well packed. Replacing the crisper drawer was, obviously, easy--just switch the food over and slide it in. The pantry end cap had a broken peg on the hinge cover, so wouldn't open properly without falling off. It was a little more involved, with a total of 5 screws, but I followed the instructions and video already posted on this website, and had no trouble! Gave me a good excuse to wipe down the inside of the fridge. Both repairs plus the cleaning took me about 25 minutes.
