Broken Face Clips on dispenser drawer

Detergent dispenser drawer would not stay closed

Removed old drawer and replaced it with new one. This is the second drawer assembly I have purchased in 6 months. This piece of junk must be a cash cow for Electrolux. If they would make the small latch out of metal instead of plastic, there would be no problem. But that might cost an additional $ .007 per washer. These valves are where the water supply from the house attach to the washing machine. You connect the hoses to the valve with fill hoses. The fill hoses should have screens installed in them to prevent debris from entering the valve and causing it to stick open or closed. Sometimes these valves are called mixing valves, because they essentially mix the cold and hot water together to create “warm” water. Another common term is water solenoid.
