Electrolux Washer Latch
PartSelect Number PS11766033
Manufacturer Part Number 5304505088
This is a door latch, also known as a door strike, for some models of washing machine. This part secures to the door of the washer and secures the door when it is shut, to ensure the inside drum of the washer does not leak. If your washer does not start properly and/or shut all the way, this latch is likely causing the issues you are experiencing and needs to be replaced. This latch is made of a brushed metal material and features two holes to secure it with screws. To replace this latch, simply unthread the screws of the old latch to remove it, and secure the new latch with the existing screws. This latch is not sold with any other parts or accessories, so any securing screws are sold separately.

Broken Door Catch
This was one of the simpliest repairs I have ever done taking less than 5 minutes to complete. On the inner door I removed the two screws that hold the plastic catch in place. I then removed the broken catch and put the new catch in place. Finally I replaced the two screws that hold the catch in place and it was done.

PartSelect Number PS3508101
Manufacturer Part Number 5304485917
This shock absorber kit is an authentic OEM part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The kit includes two dual-stage shock absorbers, one spare shock mounting pin, and four locking nuts. These shock absorbers keep your front-load washer from shaking vigorously by absorbing and reducing vibrations from the wash and spin cycles of your appliance. This kit comes with two shock absorbers because it is recommended to replace both at the same time, as they wear at the same rate. To access your washer shock absorbers, simply remove the lower access panel after disconnecting the power to the appliance.

Both vibration shock absorbers broken
removed 2 screws and removed top access cover. removed 2 screws and removed front access cover. removed 4 retaining pins (one with nammer and punch because it was stuck) connected lower ends of new shocks with plastic pins, extended each shock to slip fit and connected upper ends to wash tub mounts. Reinstalled panels. I wish I could say that it all went well from there but......when the shocks broke, apparently the hit the motor took was enough to cause an electronic failure of the speed cycle control chip. Now Im waiting for that part.

Original bellow had 2 largish holes in the upper left quadrant; random leaking.
Bought new part. #1 Lesson learned: Always inspect the actual part number of the ordered/received part. Verify with number marked on the item somewhere. We did not do this and turned out we reinstalled a slightly smaller bellow (wrong part number received in shipment). We were able to fully install it but it was minutely not laying perfectly around the diameter. So minor we did not notice. We did have great difficulty installing though. Anyway, after 1st test run, bellow already had developed a small hole in bottom right quadrant from rubbing on the drum. Left a bunch of gray powdery debris on the drum too. We did not realize error until that point. Took bellow off again to verify part number on it. It was wrong. That explained why the door was so very tight to close and difficult to open. Other than all that, use the video to do the install. It was free to view and easy to follow.
