Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This door handle is for microwaves. Because the inner door panel covers the screws that attach door handle to the door, the door panels must be separated to access the screws and replace the handle.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

How do i install this handle. I can't see how to take the door apart. Please help. Thank you
For model number JVM3160DF1BB
Hello David, Thank you for your inquiry. You will have to pop the inner trim off with a flat head screw driver or putty knife, and then you should see the screws holding the handle to door frame and can remove them with a Philips screwdriver. Some models require you to remove the inner liner before you can access the handle screws. Hope this helps!

Hi- why is the handle so expensive? It broke off of our microwave and we need a replacement- $131 seems like a lot. Thank you!
Hi Rebecca, Thank you for the question. We base our prices on the manufacture and discount down from there depending on the pricing they give us. Checking the GE website, they are charging just over $146.00. Hope this helps!
