How do i remove the doors inside panel to get to the handles hardware, i'm trying to replace one of the door supports.
For model number JVM3160DF2WW
Hi Darrin,
Thank you for your inquiry. In order to remove the door lining so you can gain access to the screws holding the door handle in place, you will need to use a putty knife. Start at one side along the inside of the lining around the window edge and gently put the putty knife between the door lining and the door to release the tabs holding it place. The side where the door is hinged, you will need to pry the lining lose from the back side. Once this is complete you can remove the inner lining. With the lining removed you should see the screws holding the door in place. Sometimes the door handle may be held with 4 screws and you may not see the other 2 screws. If you remove the 2 screws and the handle does not come off you will need to remove the inner door frame with a putty knife using the same procedure as with the door lining so you can release the other screws. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I need to replace the plastic handle that broke. It looks like i need part# : Ps8753758, but when i click on this, there are many part#'s listed for various parts of the handle. Does this part# include all of them?
For model number JVM3160DF2WW
Hello Kim, Thank you for your inquiry. This part number is the supports which the handle attaches to on the door, you would need two. Part# PS8754173 is the handle itself, and part# PS8753375 is the screws which attach the handle to the supports and door. Hope this helps!

Handle supports broke and have ordered 2. What are the steps to access screws from the inside of the door? Seems like a panel has to be removed. Please advise. Thanks.
For model number JVM3160DF1WW
Hello Bill, thank you for your question. The inner door frame has a seam around it where it snaps into the door. Using a putty knife slowly go around the inner door panel frame to release the tabs that hold it into place. The inner frame will pull away from the door and the screws for the handle will be accessible. I hope this helps!

I read your instructions on separating the door from the door panel using a putty knife to get to the screw to replace the handle, but once I replace the handle, does the door and door panel just snap back together?
For model number JVM3160DF2WW
Hello Tim,
Thanks for your question. We would actually advise having a licensed technician install this part, as the microwave door contains shielding components that must be tested for any leaks in the microwave shield prior to safely using the microwave. That said, the door and door panel would just snap together.
I hope this helps.

Handle brackets on GE microwave broke. I was able to remove plastic bezel. Cannot see how to remove inner bracket to get to screws.
For model number JNM3161DF2WW
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your inquiry. This is the correct part for your appliance. I believe that there will be screws that are holding that inner bracket in. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Tray and Handle were broken.
Removed the outer frame on the inside of the door. Then I removed the metal frame to get to the handle screws. Removed the handle screws and replaced the broken handle with the new one. Then put everything else back together. For the tray. I just put the new one on the rotating wheel.
Once the parts arrived, I pulled off the microwave door and pulled off the plastic trim with a putty knife and then pulled off the glass by unscrewing and pulling off the glass by pulling back the tabs. I unscrewed the broken pieces and screwed on the new supports which I attached to the existing handle

not was expected
expected-when i looked at the part number there was a line from two door-parts to on number. it looked to me like there were two parts coming under one part number. only one part came and I NEED two parts. ugh. i waited 2 weeks-for the part and now have order another one and wait another two weeks. at least I CAN STILL OPEN MY MICROWAVE!

Part was fine but seemed way over priced
I needed a plastic end piece to repair the broken handle on my GE microwave. I was able to find the exact part with ease; I just couldn't believe that a small piece of molded plastic cost over $40.00. I went ahead with the purchase, the part arrived and I was able to repair my microwave with little trouble, but I'm left with a sour taste regarding my experience. I see absolutely no justification for overcharging customers so much.

Hello David, Thank you for the review. We apologize that our prices are not as low as you expected. We base our prices on what we are charged by the manufacturer for the parts. We try to keep our prices as low as possible but do also have to keep them at a level to help cover our costs. We hope this helps to explain the reasoning behind the prices!

Repair was successful-but somewhat expensive.
Took a few Youtube videos to figure out how to access the screws that held in the handle on my microwave. Ultimately I succeeded. The part was the correct one. The cost of this very small plastic part was excessive, in my opinion. I did probably saved substantially over having to pay a service man.
