Hello, I am looking for a replacement gasket for the bottom freezer door for my kitchen maid refrigerator. Can you please advise which part number I need to get to avoid ordering the wrong one. Thanks - dean

Hello Dean, Thank you for contacting us. I have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you’re looking for is Part Number: PS5573759 for the gasket in Black and Part Number: PS5573760 for Grey. Good luck with the repair!
Kitchen Aid Door Bottom Mount. Appliance told me I could not replace the freezer drawer gasket and had to replace the entire door. Is this true or am I being sold a bill of goods?
Also what is the gasket part and could my handyman do this himself?
Thank you
For model number KFIV29PCMS0e
Hello Donna, thank you for your question. The Gaskets can be easily replaced. The part number is PS5573757. We have a video for a similar model that should be of some help for you. We hope this helps.
My freezer door does not make a good seal. The seal is not damaged, but the door does not close completely. I keep having to defrost the freezer. Is there a way to adjust the door so that it closes better or can I increase the thickness of the seal to make a good seal?
For model number WRF736SDAM12
Hello Jonathan, thank you for your question! If the gasket is full of debris, it will not let your freezer door shut properly. Clean it with a warm water. Check the freezer bin is in place and pushed back correctly. Check the appliance is levelled (front to back and side to side), it is recommended to install the appliance so that it tilts slightly backwards for better closing. Check the freezer bin, food and drinks placed in it, as e.g. long bottles or big trays can prevent the door from closing. Loose hinges can cause the door to hang unevenly, preventing a tight seal. Tighten any loose hinges to ensure a snug fit. Other than that, use a hair dryer and heat up the door seal in the areas not sealing properly. Heat up the seal for 30 minutes or so to make it really flexible. Once the seal is properly heated, close the door. Let the door seal form to the frame of the refrigerator. Do not open the for 6 hours to allow for a proper form. Then you should have a good seal once again. If this does not help, you will need to replace the freezer door gasket, part number PS5573760. We hope that helps!

The gasket has been replaced. Pushed in & seated correctly. Gasket continues to fall loose at bottom of freezer drawer resulting in ice forming. Can I glue in place?
For model number 596.72383411
Hello JoAnn, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but we do not list a glue that can be used. If the gasket was installed properly and the correct gasket was used, you may have a defective in the door panel so it is not holding the gasket properly. We hope this helps!

The freezer drawer gasket on our KitchenAid refrigerator (KRMF706EBS00) has come loose and is hanging down; just the bottom section. Would this cause frost in the freezer compartment? We took off the door and put the gasket back in but in keeps dropping off? Get a new one?
For model number KRMF706EBS00
Hello James, Thank you for the question. If you do not have a proper seal it can cause the frost build up and it will cause the Temperature to rise. We suggest replacing the Gasket. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
