Damaged upon receipt
The frame ordered was in worse condition than the original one that I damaged when I broke the glass. The box didn't have any external damage when it got here. When we opened the box later in the day we discored the frame was bent almost double on one of the bends that should have been 90 degrees and the other was damaged but not as bad.I have some sheet metal experience and I could fix it but the twist was too bad so I used my hand seaming tool and repaired the original part. It looked to me that when the part was boxed the twisted paper inner packing was pushed down too far almost as if it was supposed to be package that way.I would have thrown the new one away and written it off as a bad experience but my wife insisted we try and get our money back so I turned that over to her.

The white painted metal trim around the glass front of our LFEF3017LWB range is rusted (don't know why?). Can I easily disassembled the door and replace the trim or is the door sealed together with adhesive or caulk? At the same time I also need to replace the white plastic Oven Door Cap which has yellowed. Thanks for your assistance.
For model number LFEF3017LWB
Hello Stephen, Thank you for writing. To replace the trim you will need to remove the End Cap and handle. To do so you will need to remove the top screws on the inside of the door at the top corners that hold the handle and end cap in place. We hope this helps!
