Part worked fine but had smaller problem
I thought the t'table motor was bad. Turned out it was the top micro switch on the door carrier that has the 3 micro switches mounted. One spade terminal was discolored. Recommend buying highest quality replacement parts to avoid what I did

Turn table motor malfunctioning, noisy and intermittent.
My oven is installed above the counter making it a bit difficult to reach the screws closest to the wall. Instructions should note that both harnesses need to be disconnected and that there are two screws, not one holding the motor. This one issue made it frustrating since that screw is located towards the back away from your vision. Thi

Looks like the turn table is not rotating. I can turn the shaft inside the microwave and makes a little clicking sound. Is the motor what I need? And if so, can I gain access via underneath and have the plate open, then unscrew the motor? Thank you
For model number JVM1790WK01
Hi Steve, Thank you for the question. Yes, I suggest replacing the Motor, Part Number: PS2355837. When working with microwaves you need to make sure the appliance is unplugged. To access this motor you will need to remove the bottom panel from the microwave. You will need a Philips head screw driver to remove the screws from the panel. Next disconnect the wire harness from the turn table. Remove the one screw holding the motor in place and turn the motor counter clockwise and pull down to release the motor from the base. Remove the glass tray from inside the microwave and hold the coupler down. Insert the new motor shaft through the base and into the bottom of the coupler. Rotate the motor clockwise to lock it back in place and install the motor mounting screw and wire harness. Replace the bottom panel and you will be set! This should be a pretty easy repair. Hope this helps!

My Turntable stop turning and the microwave stopped heating at the same time! What could be the problem. Everything else works>
For model number JVM3162RJSS
Hello Clemmon, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the turntable motor, the primary door switch, the monitor door switch, the diode, the thermostat and the magnetron. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair. We have included a link on how to do so. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
