Great Part, Not So Easy Repair
The door on my GE Profile dish washer is constructed differently from the door in the repair video. I had to take the inner door panel completely off the door frame to replace the bottom door seal. The new seal was an exact replacement for the original. The new seal fixed the leak.

Installation can be a challenge. Suggest lying down by open dishwasher door when removing and installing seal. can be very difficult it you are trying to install from above.
Part came in simple package and was in excellent condition.

Part was an exact match. Repair is of moderate difficulty.
The lower door seal part was a perfect match and came quickly. I also ordered the tub gasket which was also an exact match and easy to install. The tub gasket fixed my leak but since I had ordered both seals I went ahead and replaced the lower door seal. I watched several of the videos but my dishwasher door was slightly different than the videos. I removed all of the screws on the inside of the door and removed the outer SS door panel. Word of caution there are also two screws at the bottom of the door that must be removed before the front panel will come off. These screws require a stubby Phillips head screw driver to remove. I then removed 4 screws holding the inner plastic door panel. The inner door panel appeared to be press fit in the main door frame and would not easily loosen. I used a long flat screw driver to gently pry the inner door panel up enough to slide the lower seal over the hinge. New seal easily slid back once it was lined up in the proper grove. The repair took about 30 minutes.

Works well!
The part works well and fixed the problem of leaking I was having. Only went with 4 stars because it was no where near as easy as the guy in the video made it seem. But it worked out better then calling a repair man.

Water and soap leaking out the bottom of the door while operating.
I Googled bottom door gasket replacement on GE model and found several videos walking me through the process. I followed one of them and successfully replaced the gasket without pulling the appliance out.

The problem is I received the wrong part!
No way to repair since the wrong part was sent. I have sent numerous emails with order numbers, part numbers, model numbers BUT I have no return label to send this back and get a refund. Maybe this will get someone's attention. Pretty disgusted!
Do not overlook the two screws on the bottom of the outer door panel.

Leak at bottom of door.
I watched the parts select video and followed their instructions. Only “ issue” was there were no screws on the door behind the exterior skin as in the video, so lifting the inside door liner to put the new lower door seal in was concerning. I was able to pull the liner up enough and slid the seal in with no problem. The video was the key

The gaskets arrived in a few days after my order. The tub seal was easy to change and tool only a few minutes with no tools. After I watched a video on the GE website I pulled out the old gasket, wiped out the slot, centered the new gasket at the top, pushed it in the slot to each corner. Then I pulled the end to the end of the track and
... Read morepushed it in the full side from the bottom up. repeated on the other side. The lower gasket was harder and took about 40 minutes. I took eh door apart but did not need to it could be done with a mirror. Pull the old one out from one side. Don't be afraid of tearing it but get it all out. The new one will snap into the slot if you use a mirror to look in the door and see.
1. Replacing the TUB GASKET is very easy and does not require tools. Pull out the old gasket and wipe out the channel. The gasket is marked with a small paint mark at the center and that indicates where to start at the top. The larger part of the gasket goes towards the outside. Firmly press the gasket all the way into the channel. T
... Read morehe gasket should just reach the bottom of the tub. Do not use tools or you may damage the gasket. The gasket must be nearly all the way into the channel or the door will not close. Expect the door to close quite firmly for the first few uses.
2. Replacing the DOOR BOTTOM SHORT SEAL. This repair is not technically difficult, but is physically difficult. Without complete removal of the door, nothing needs to be or can be taken apart to do this replacement. I recommend removal of the lower basket, the upper basket and the wash arm before beginning. A drop light inside the tub is helpful. Using pliers or vise-grips grab the old seal and bend up and down then back and forth until it will slide all the way to one side. Once to one side use pliers to bent towards the back until its snap seal (observe new seal) realeases and you can carefully continue by hand to remove the seal the rest of the way across the bottom of the door. Observe how the old seal came out and which side was UP. With the new seal in hand, gently work the snap seal open slightly (this will help to get it back in place). With a flashlight and inspection mirror, check where the new seal will attach to (and clean if necessary). Center the new seal with the correct side up and work from one end. You may need pliers to push in the new seal, but be very careful not to damage the new bottom seal soft part. When it snaps in place you are done.
Gasket it self was simple. Just pull out the old rubber gasket and "stuff" in the new one. Note the new gasket was 1-2" short, so I used a piece of the old gasket to fill in the missing length.
The "short seal" was a bit of a mystery on how to actually remove the old one. Taking off the door panel, and almost all the screws
... Read moreon the door did nothing to get access to the short seal. Finally, I simply pryed up the plastic door liner just enough to slide out the old seal. it has a "slot" that engages a plastic bar within the door. Putting in the new was a bit trickier, but after some three handed effort I was able to slide and then snap in the new seal.
So, in the end I really needed to remove NO screws to do the job.
After 10 washes, all seems good with NO leaks.
Bottomline, for a 4 year old dishwasher needing these parts is a bit silly. Older dishwashers I owned lasted 10-15 years with ZERO problems.
So much for GE buying all their appliances in China.......
The seal slides out to the side, but the diswasher had to be pulled out from the counter and the entire door had to be taken apart to do this because the hinge was in the way. In taking apart the door, we opened the front panel by taking out the screws along the sides and disconnected the computer connections. After loosening the hinge,
... Read more we were able to slide the old seal out and the new seal in. When putting the door back together, it was difficult to reconnect the computer connections while holding up the door front, as these ribbon wires were quite short. We did get it back together and working except that the connection to the display light now doesn't work because it probably became disconnected as we put together the door. Also, the door now is not completely level when open making the bottom tray slide in. This is probably because we got the springs too tight. These things can be fixed, but will wait for another day.
