This door catch kit is designed for use in dryers. This is an authentic OEM replacement part. This catch assembly ensures the door of your appliance will close, and remain closed. It allows your appliance to both start and complete a full drying cycle. There are two pieces included in this kit, one catch, and one strike. You open and close the door on such a regular basis that this mechanism can wear out. It is a fairly common part to replace. Dryer stops mid cycle. Press start button once and dryer completes cycle. Sometimes when i press start button dryer hums. If i turn the timer knob a little and then press start button it completes the cycle.

catch mounted on door broke
The door had always opened with the wrong swing and it wasn't til I needed to repair this that I noticed you could change the swing. I changed the swing of the door and then noticed that the clip was included on both sides so i did not need to repair the catch. I still have the part so when it breaks again, I can just pop it in.

the door on the unit wouldn't stay closed
removed the dryer female part that was broken with needle nose pliers and inserted the new one, on the door i removed one phillips screw and r/r the male piece with the new one and re-inserted the screw. that was all, very easy repair
I just inserted the door catch, which by the way fit in perfectly. Thanks. Took 5 seconds to repair.

Door wasn't staying closed
popped up top of dryer -- With pliers squeezed clips on inside of latch - - with screw driver pryed latch out -- just pused new latch in.......... Thanks to parts select for sending part sooo fast.. wife was happy.. Thanks, Dale

Door would not stay shut
Took off the four screws to get to the female clip and used pliers to squeeze it out. Next was using pliers to pinch out the male connector and place the new one in.

Female End Of The Door Catch Broke
First I put the square female end iof the door catch kit nto the square hole as snug as I could. Then I gently pushed the door against the piece until I heard it click in to place. That's it!! Sooooo simple--
