I ordered and received an ice maker drop door assembly for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Part number is w11175839. I can’t get the front of the ice maker off the refrigerator. I removed the drip tray and the 2 screws beneath the drip tray but can not get the icemake front off the refrigerator. Could you please tell me how to get the front of icemaker off the refrigerator so i can put the new drop door assembly on. Thank you

Hello Ron, Thank you for the question. You can use a putty knife to slip between the trim and the door and pry it away from the appliance. Work your way around the edge until it is fully released from the clips that hold it into place. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
